This is great cinema but very Star Wars. Can we have space combat that’s NOT copying WWII dogfighting for a change? There’s about three thousand years of other military history to take inspiration from.
That was utterly retarded. Two fleets stand off, they both send in roughly equal numbers of fighters who fly straight at each other and don't open fire until they're in range (because that's limited for some reason) and then they fly around haphazardly, blithely nattering, while they spam fire at each other without a reticle on their HUD much less any kind of targeting system. The whole thing screams generic pointless space battle written and directed by people who have zero interest in what they're doing.
I really like that they are all without any personal protective equipment. Any smoke, a hole in the hull, failure of artificial gravity, dynamic impact, all this leads to the death of the crew of any ship shown in this video. That is, we are simply facing suicide bombers, they have two options – either complete integrity of the ship and victory, or the slightest malfunction and death.
Has there ever been an air battle where both sides fly directly at eachother? I am under the impression that this kind of engagement is always avoided, because it is much less favorable than disengaging and looking to surprise the enemy another time.
In my opinion this is the most “realistic” sci fi TV show that is set in the distant future (i forgot how far exactly into the future foundation takes place, but its at least 10,000 years, i think.)
It's interesting to see how much the story has changed between the books and the series. It has gone into a completely different direction. In the books, the empire becomes nearly irrelevant. When they do show up again, they are by far technologically inferior to the Foundation. It isn't the Empire or an army, really, that challenges the Foundation. It doesn't look like the Mule is part of the series anymore, nor anything to do with a Second Foundation.
I wonder if any part of the other books of the Asimov universe will make it to the series, or if this is original content here on out.
For great designs of the ships we sure don't get to see a decent space battle. They are saying the invictus didn't maneuver, didn't close and engage the deliverance. And that the envelopment ships didn't come in to engage the invictus. I like foundation but the military shown in it are so silly.
The ships look like they are made out of hobby store plexiglass. I guess when you're a space ferring world you need big windows to see everything around you. Lol… Nevermind the coldness of deep space and the radiation.
This battle was anti climatic. They lost so badly and they had over a century to prepare for it and still end up defeated when the empire didn't even improve on anything.
You can't be serious. Fucking Space Pilots. Not only in Space, but Pilots as well. No Pilot gear and no Space gear.
TIE Fighter Pilots are better equipped than those morons. They are also better equipped than rebel Pilots but the SW Fandom, dumb as they are, are just ignoring that fact.
Never understood why space fighters are designed with wings in space. They don't add anything except an easier profile to fire upon. I mean, I get that they want it to look cool, but there are way cooler space fighters that actually makes more sense.
Funny, none of that happened in the books either.
Is there a reason the pilots have no protective gear at all?
Ну почему же в будущем такие тупые инженеры? Космические корабли,технологии,всё есть,а самонаводящегося оружия нету

Even the fucking empire had flight suits
Again and again we see these stupid space battles in WWII style. Creative impotence that has struck the entire industry.

Nice Star Wars…Just a question…Where is Asimov?
It does not take me in the wrong sense.
Those mini ships in the minute 0.07 are not cool.

Those switchbacks really remind me of the Gallente Hecate from Eve Online.

Це серіал ?
Have you ever read the books wah wahwah im a baby with a shitty diaper
Never even heard of Foundation before and I love sci-fi stuff.
Oh and that thing is now 17 / 0 since you guys cheated…
It's not an actual game… this place is actually real…. it was just a measurement for morality / karma…
Like the aliens or spirits explained already…. I got a weird piece of cardboard with your "wins" crossed out of box for boots from Mark's
this show is so dumb
The visuals are quite impressive.
Weird they wouldn't wear some kind of space suit incase of a breach
worst space battle I've ever seen. Every cliche.
There is no sound in vacuum, Fail.

This is just as Asimov didn’t describe…
This looks terrible
Where those sound of fire coming form 🧐
The Foundation: Full Coverage
what show is this ??
Combat pilots in the future don't need seat belts or helmets. Nice.
What is this
Love that 90% of the space battle is seeing the pilots faces…..

“Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.”

WTF is that ?? design of spaceship fighter class its very ugly and horrible, also all the pilot never using spacesuit+helmet in the real dog fight ??
does not make sense at all !
idiot coreographer & the director ! >.<

I read all the Foundation books a few times. This doesn't happen.
