Foundation Season 2 Ending Explained. Episode 10 Breakdown. An in-depth recap and review of S02E10 “Creation Myths” with the ending explained. Please Subscribe 👉 http://bit.ly/PetePeppers
Foundation’s Season 2 finale wrapped up a much improved second season on Apple TV+. At the end of episode 9 Terminus had been destroyed by Brother Day (Lee Pace) and episode 10 opens with him wanting to continue to wipe out planets that are loyal to the Foundation. Bel Riose (Ben Daniels) finally refuses his order and Hober Mallow (Dimitri Leonidas) reveals that he made a deal with the Spacers who have locked in a jump sequence that will destroy the Imperial Fleet. When he realizes he can’t escape Cleon XVII tries to kill Bel Riose but the tables are turned when he activates the castling device.
Demerzel (Laura Birn) returned to Trantor when she got an alert about Brother Dusk (Terrence Mann) and Enjoiner Rue (Sandra Yi Sencindiver) discovering her former prison. She adds to the story they heard from Cleon I and we get a better idea about how her programming prevents her from being free. She is forced to kill Dusk and Rue and hopes to have Queen Sareth (Ella-Rae Smith) executed so that she can restore the Genetic Dynasty. Brother Dawn (Cassian Bilton) intervenes and he is able to talk Demerzel into letting him, Queen Sareth, and their unborn child leave Trantor.
On Ignis Tellem Bond’s death (Rachel House) has cleared the way to create the Second Foundation. Tellem makes one final appearance taking over Josiah’s body and trying to kill Gaal. Salvor (Leah Harvey) is able to stop him but she receives a mortal wound in the process. Her death proves that they can change the future and Hari (Jared Harris) and Gaal (Lou Llobell) enter cryosleep together to jump forward in time to face The Mule who we see in a brief flash-forward to 152 years later.
It’s revealed that Doctor Seldon had a plan to get everyone off of Terminus and into the Vault before it was destroyed at the end of episode 9. The plan was to sacrifice Terminus to destroy the Empire’s fleet and move the Foundation somewhere new. Their technological advantage will be immense now that the Spacers are no longer navigating Imperial class jump ships.

More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in “Foundation” season two. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire. The monumental adaptation of “Foundation” chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.

Season 2 was 🧑🍳 💋
Can you do a video just on the origin and life of the Spacers?
Would be so cool if we see Dawn’s descendants in the next season, maybe as a rival to Empire
answer to every problem is the vault. what a wasted show. It seems like empire wont have superior technology ever.
I really hate the way the story is going in this show.
Demerzel's dialog is amazing. Gael & Salvors dialog is so bad that I skipped past all of their scenes. Are there two teams of writers?
I love this series, but end of season 2 was just a bridge too far for me. Its like anything can be made up into the storyline. Will what season 3 brings.
I easily said the twist was a cop out. Unlike Game of Thrones .
This show is about 10% based on the books. I would enjoy it more if they would’ve presented it as new work, inspired by Foundation and named something else.
I agree. Everyone being alive in the vault felt a little too “snowglobe-y” for me. Previously I felt the loss for everyone on terminus. And now, it’s sort of just all “magic and no consequences”
If Demerzel has full control over Empire’s memories why can’t she edit them in such a way that they have a desire to remove her control unit?
THEY HAVE FUCKED THIS WHOLE STORY ALL TO HELL…STINKS OF VAGISIL !!!
I didn't like how they saved everyone on terminus. Also the monolith being a literal deus ex machina has was overkill. Leaving them all dead and still having the monolith save Constan would've made more sense, especially with the foundation being started with martyrdom. I could've gone with it saving Poly at least since he was right there though
A fantastic season finale so many surprises
She deserves an Oscar for this show. Absolutely baffling
I get your point about the misdirections making it hard to emotionally invest and for me most of them worked and weren't too off-putting.
The one that didn't for me was probably the start of the Ignis plot because as soon as they started manipulating thoughts I realized there was no way we could ever trust what was going on. That obviously makes the mentalics powerful, but makes the storyline hard to present without feeling like a gimmick.
I agree 100% about the fake-out ending that wasn't the real ending and how it made me feel betrayed in a way and my intuitions and feelings for the characters dismissed.
Still I loved the Demerzel scene in the secret chamber.
How's Hari Seldon, the original from the first season, had at his disposal such an advanced technology to have created the TARDIS, sorry the Vault, that no one else has had similar technological feats even centuries later. Will there be an explanation for the Vault existence in later seasons or should we take the Vault for granted.
I really enjoyed episodes 1-9, but there was way too much withheld information and twists in 10.
I think Harry Seldon is a fraud. Day tried to give change to the empire and Harry never admits it. He didn't even prepared the galactic encyclopedia which was the only reason Cleon 12th approved the foundation.
Harry is the one behind the great war which is going to happen.
Least favorite part of the show was the whole “Tellum” plot, super shitty in my opinion. Love the Demerzel and Cleon aspect of the show. Think they messed up killing Salvor.
The ultimate tragedy: Demerzel is forever a prisoner to empire. She is empire. Thus, she is forever a prisoner to herself.
Simultaneously ultimate antagonist and protagonist.
