Found! A Valuable Hot Wheels Collection Lost in a Boston Basement! Part 3 of 3 #hot wheels #redline

Ok so the title is not exFound! A Valuable Hot Wheels Collection Lost in a Boston Basement! Part 1 of 3 #hot wheels #redline

Ok so the title is not exactly accurate but it is catchy! Everyone tells me I needed to spice up my titles to get more views. I have been spoiled over the last 2 months as my channel has “blown up” with 3 to 4 times more views and a thousand new subscribers. Thank you!

This collection came from a guy near Boston who had been keeping his childhood collection safely tucked away at home. He contacted me because I can easily be found on Google and YouTube. We made a deal on Saturday and the collection arrived on Wednesday.

I have been on the internet since that was possible back in the early 90’s. eBay since May 1998, and my YouTube channel is over 8 years old.

  1. I read somewhere that rolls royce agree to let hot wheels make their car as long as it was grey. hot wheels deviated by making them in color and RR said they would pull copyright if hot wheels didnt quit the other than colors.

  2. Hot wheels were played with by Boomer kids who were getting too old for toys by the early 70’s and were getting into girls and real cars. I’m Gen X and my childhood cars were mostly 71 through 77 with a few of the earlier cars thrown in that were still on the shelves. I didn’t have any of the good early Customs as they weren’t available any longer. It was dismal having the 73 and later cars as they were slow on the track and just didn’t look as good. The tampos that came on the 74’s helped but they were even slower. I spent years looking for the early cars with zero success until I found the adult collecting world at the Redline Convention in 92 in Seattle.

  3. Were about the same age…was 6-7 years old when they came out…so I’m guessing when I was 11-12 I changed hobbies/priorities and started riding our bicycles….is there any cars that you don’t have or colors of a car that you have been chasing?… keep up the great work 👍🙏❤️

  4. I remember mamy of these from my own childhood. As I watched them being in unwrapped, I thought back to the ones I had and what color mine were. A few were spot-on, like the lime gold Nomad, one of my favorites. My 442 was what I've heard was one of the rarest – purple. My son destroyed that one once when he was ticked off at me. He flattened it with a brick on the sidewalk out front, along with a couple dozen others. My red '57 T-Bird, teal '68 T-Bird, brown Light My Firebird, chrome Hot Wheels Collector's Club Heavy Chevy and Boss Hoss… damn.
