  1. Something I noticed missing is reflections from water upwards. For instance in the underpass scene, light should be dancing across the underside of the bridge as it is reflected off the water. Amazing, yet still a ways to go for sure. Huge improvement however over the 'flat' appearance without it enabled. Great video btw. Love all the side by side comparisons.

  2. I remember in a video by a channel called knowledge husk (definitely check him out by the way) he said that fortnite had become a testing ground/showcase for new unreal engine features. And I could not agree more. I mean it's epic's biggest game there's no reason they shouldn't be testing the water with it. Lumen is one of many examples of them doing this and honestly it's really cool to watch and even play.

  4. I've always been a 120hz competitive type, but when the update happened, I couldn't even stomach how God awful it looked compared to the insane levels of detail 5.1 brought. Before the difference in high and low settings weren't all too bad, even with RT enabled, but now it just looks like a playable cut scene at all times.

  5. This was a really dumb move for old gen consoles .. I get 20 to 30 fps now in game on mh xbox one and i think its not fair for the rest to have 60 to 120 fps .. They should add graphics settings to old gen consoles fr

  6. I don't really care for lighting and water reflections. Frame rate, anti aliasing and texture quality are way more important. Take the witcher update for example, it's great on performance mode but too jarring on ray tracing

  8. to bad I literally despise the game cuz this is a massive upgrade. and I do love ray traced lighting. Such a shame that the second time we finally get some decent RTGI on console, it's a game I hate. At least I still have Metro, which looks better anyways.

  9. Epic games are the only ones actually trying to fully utilize the power of this engine. Imagine if shitass Gotham knights used nanite so it could run above 30fps on next gen 🤡

  10. Great video. Thank you. I've been working in UE5 for a bit now, and I'm really enjoying it, and really love the recent updates. I'm actually installing Fortnite right now (after so long) to try out the new engine. Cheers!
