Forming an ANCIENT EMPIRE in EU4!

Today we go to the EU4 Ante Bellum mod; an EU4 total conversions mod and also one of the best EU4 mods out there! We’re looking at a new update (not EU4 1.35), where we take on the role of ASSYRIA, an EU4 Formable nation. We’ve also got an EU4 religion to play with which actually makes things harder. So let’s see if we can actually form this nation and take on the middle east!

  1. Pretty cool video. But I miss the old crazy campaigns like that one with Theodoro. Quite an epic run! What about making a new one with Ryazan? Expand like crazy. Force every limit of the game. 😁

  2. Courtier: Well done, sir! You reformed the lost kingdom of Assyria. Because of this you improve the morale of your armies, prove your legitimacy to the throne and made your armies stronger against shock damage until you die. How do you feel?

    Courtier: …Sir?

    King: … (dead sounds)

  3. has anyone else noticed since new updates that a lot of weird things keep happening with certain nations that never did well before? my last playthru tunis & morocco kept beating portugal & castile really easy… this current playthru.. aragon beat castile.. france beat castile… england beat france… hungary beat austria.. bohemia beat austria its like they made the game do the complete opposite that it used to do in 1.30

  4. Fun fact: You don't have to worry about offending the modern inhabitants of Hisn Kayfa, as there aren't any. The town (known these days as Hasankeyf) is under the Tigris River as of about 5 years ago. It and its nearby archeological sites were flooded when a hydroelectric dam was built downstream.

  5. 12:50 "Apologies if you live in that province today"
well that province is currently underwater due to a dam having been built upstream so…
it's actually pretty sad how the government basically chose to destroy the historic city of hasankeyf despite literally nobody but them and their investors wanting the dam to be built

  6. You can core provinces next to your cores, even if you don't own the provinces. The Nizzarids could take land in Seljuks due to the cores they had in the land you took from them.

  7. The legends of Old is full of stories of Great Fathers and sons who carry out to fulfill their father’s incomplete legacy, against all odds.
Like Hannibal Barca, Octavian Augustus Caesar, Alexander Dumas, Napoleon II, and in case of mother-daughter, madam Irene Joliot-Curie.
So it would not be out of place for the young King to resolve and swear an oath to God and finish the conquest and spreading the true faith across the yet lost lands of Assyria.

  8. I recommend you do a Vicky 3 vid on the Austro-hungarian Empire it's really fun in my opinion trying to get the intelligentsia in charge is the best way then get cultural exclusion you will get a desicion called The dual Monarchy and just use the unite Austria and Hungary and there its not that hard and mainly is just a political battle
