Boris is amusing if he is the prime minister in someone else’s country.
I subscribed to FSD on my Model Y. It took several weeks to build my confidence to fully utilize the self-driving feature. Now, I can go from home to work, a distance of 27 miles, with just a couple of minor interventions. FSD makes driving much safer; it's like having an assistant that is constantly on the lookout for you. Having said that, this is not an autonomous vehicle. It has a long way to go before being a full robotaxi.
Permit an American to comment on BoJo: I don't think he's especially more sleazy than your typical politician (American, Australian or British). He was too cavalier about it, so he got tripped up. Politics as a profession attracts psychopathic personalities. Such individuals are good at manipulating people and have no sense of right and wrong. Once Tesla has the AI driving properly, we should use it to govern too.

I watched the Mercedes self driving video, it was nerve-racking. Saying there were only 44 interventions is being EXTREMELY generous, it was closer to double that. A lot of them would have resulted in a head on accident or ended up running off the road. I used to be a driving instructor and this car was worse than any student I ever had. I have no idea how the driver was so calm. I would have chewed my fingernails down to my elbows.
