Ellen DeGeneres used jokes to address the controversy. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” went off the air after 19 seasons in May 2022. The show ended after controversies that included allegations of racism and sexual misconduct. However, a former producer who worked with her takes issue with how she’s framing allegations that there was a toxic work environment.

I'm certain ifEllen was a man an "atmosphere of fear" would be just fine with the network as long as there was no sexual harassment and even that would have been ok prior to the "me2" movement.
