I’m not even quite sure what to say about this final episode, because I threw my whole heart and soul into this game, but still had …

  1. I know Part II is People's not favorite out of the 2 because it's story but I think Part II is somehow still a good game because of the topics it brought to the table. I'm hoping for Part III to be either the continuation of Ellie's journey, Abby's story, or a new character and focusing on "Hope" since Part I is about Bonds, Part II is about Revenge, Hope would be a great topic as to humanity finally coming together as society like Jackson did, only across America.

  2. Do you think Joel might still be alive? We never saw a body.

Jkjk, this was an amazing playthrough. I know everyone raves about the last Joel scene, and its amazing, but I'm always so fixated on how obsessed Ellie is (Abby. Abby Abby Abby) juxtaposed with the recognition of inhumane torture Ellie saw she had experienced. For the briefest of moments, Ellie forgot Joel and saw Abby as a human deserving of basic humane treatment. These characters are so beautifully rounded and real.

  3. I'm not sure if you're aware but TLOU has a new show coming out this month so if you loved the story the show should be worth a watch…maybe an opportunity to do a reaction video?

  4. The guitar at the end wasn't out of tune, Ellie just wasn't able to play the chords properly considering she had lost two of her fingers. Makes the whole thing hit that much harder seeing how she pretty much lost everything when it was all said and done. She lost Riley, Tess, Sam, Henry, Jesse….. Joel, and now Dina and JJ. The guitar was all Ellie had left from Joel and that too has basically been taken from her. To top it off, if you remember from part 1, she mentioned to Sam how she was scared of ending up alone. The sad reality of the situation is that is exactly what happened to her after trying to satisfy her need for revenge.
I'm glad she was at least able to forgive in the end and hopefully put all that pain and suffering to rest; to move on. I think that's what Joel would have wanted for her.

  5. With dogs and clickers they are drawn to sound, so dogs you can avoid as long as you have brick or bottle to throw in a direction away from you and progress ahead as they lose your scent, with the resort scene, the clickers won't go after you unless you make noise but with releasing them and throwing a bottle towards rattlers, they'll chase and clear out as much rattlers as they can 👍 when in a picky situation I like to place a mine behind my tracks and throw bottle nearby mine so opps can walk into them I've I'm trapped or surrounded if they don't know where I am 😈 love your playthrough though really enjoyed this series from you 💜

  7. I play this game a lot. In fact, I'm on my 5th playthrough. I saw the first part of your playthrough pop up on my recommended the day you posted it and it pulled me right in to the very end. I really appreciate how you viewed the ending on a more positive note even if it was insanely emotional. A lot of people think the ending was bleak, and sure the entire journey is an emotional rollercoaster, but the ending really brings it all back to forgiveness. Ellie forgiving Joel, herself, and, to a certain extent, Abby.

It was a joy to watch you play my favorite game. Looking forward to your overall review if you decide to make it!

  8. 1:46:00 Answering your question, because Miller brothers would have never told their real names so yeah. That little thing started a lot of analysis just to conclude it is an expensive AAA fanfic game. I'm glad you liked the game but if you want to keep it that way, try not to analyze that much. Even you noticed a lot of flaws during your gameplay but your emotional state kinda made you forget those but it is ok

  9. "Beyond desolation" is the perfect title for the music that comes after Ellie leaves her guitar behind – a connection to Joel. She will try to move forward finally. This is what we feel after all this. Even now, when I see it again, it still works incredibly hard. In general, the music in this game is played sparingly, but every important soundtrack brings back memories of a particular scene. Great quality and power of this music. The ones about Abby's moments of redemption and her last conversations with Owen are also amazing and sad.

An absolutely difficult finale, a full picture of Joel and Ellie's relationship, the desire for both characters to survive and end this cycle of violence. There's a huge amount of great characters that have left here. Joel is of course number 1, but Jesse, Yara and Owen are only characters in this game, but how I will miss them. They were great for both sides. Before Part III, you can say that the characters from Part I-II are already so devastated that their story is over, especially Ellie, who suffered very much mentally and physically. I hope Tommy understands, Dina has probably already forgiven her by giving Ellie a lucky armband for the epilogue. As for Tommy, here it will be a while before he comes back from the path of revenge after the deaths of Joel, Jesse and how badly they got hit in the theater.

It's hard to believe, but this great series is over. Thank you for a fantastically run series, your open and cheerful approach to this production, sharing emotions. This game doesn't deserve the hate it got. I am glad that the community gathered here perfectly feels the emotions and what the creators want to convey to us, as well as describe something that I did not pay attention to myself. I have the impression that this game is finally being appreciated more and more, and the trolls are already bored.

I wish everyone all the best in the new year!

  10. The music drop at 1:30:07 when you know its not over, my stomach flips every time… And Ellie permanently not being able to play his song properly ever again because of those missing fingers at the end… They just don't reach the strings… This game, man. Absolute masterpiece, loved watching your experience. Love you

  12. I’m not sure if this is the type of game you’d play but if you love a good story game thats definitely a tearjerker I’d recommend playing Omori! It has an amazing soundtrack + art with a beautiful yet heartbreaking story to learn about the more you play 🙂

  13. I just wanted to take another quick minute to let you know that I’m going through withdrawal. I thoroughly enjoyed joining you on your journey through TLOU2. But now it is over! I’ve watched many playthroughs of this game and your playthrough is right at the top of the list. Your actions playing the game (combat skills, strategizing, OK even looting, etc.) and your reactions to the game (story arc, plot surprises, character analysis, even the tears, etc.) were outstanding. BTW, after you finish the game, the startup screen now shows a boat on the beach near a circular building. The building is not the same one at the Rattler’s camp which implies that Abby and Lev did make it to Catalina. And now to soften my withdrawal pains, since I didn’t discover your channel until TLOU2, I’m going to go back and will be enjoying your playthrough of the original TLOU. And I’ll be looking forward to seeing your reactions especially your reaction to Ellie’s and Joel’s final scene in that game.

  14. Its an experience. The people who hate this game never played it, they just watched a streamer play the first part then jump into the percieved politics of the game.. Which it has none. When people actually put aside their bias and play it themselves, they seem to change their mind quiet quickly. Play games yourself, don't listen to others. Make up your own mind, or you'll miss out on some of the best games ever created.

  15. This game came just when I am bored of one dimensional villains you would end up killing at the end always. What a way to make the player understand the other side. The character writing in this game is outstanding along with the gameplay and level design.

  16. You are absolutely right – this series will remain in our hearts forever. As I mentioned previously with respect to Part I, it's a masterpiece in every aspect. I was going through these emotions again with your gameplay, and probably, will play it all over again. I am looking forward to finding out new aspects of Ellie's and Joel's past in the upcoming TV series, hopefully, it will be worth it!

  18. the last guitar section hurts the most for Ellie, because the last thing she had of Joelle was the guitar and the songs he taught her. She doesnt even have all the fingers needed to play it anymore, which means she truly everything by the end of the game. Her lust for revenge cost her everything she cared about.
