Many thanks, to Ken, Joseph and Jennifer! 🗾 Since y'all asked, yes, I'm watching and loving SHŌGUN (2024)! And, yes, I loved the original mini-series.
(a channel boundary likely would be crossed ▪︎ naming someone else's non SW channel)
Think canned doughboy sweet rolls ○ pfp theme :
These 2 Canadian soul mates 'react'
. . . Blair Witch from January22 has 66K views

~ also easily located Marieta Squadron's blind •,reaction to Harbinger ( nearly 66 ) days after the A.V trailer that none of the four watched
Oh boy, the hot dog sandwich debate. Love when this randomly comes up on podcasts.
My stance is that they absolutely are. It always comes to the style of bread or the style of contents. Submarine sandwiches are agreed to be sandwiches so the bread style is out, and likewise the contents of a meatball sub isn't that different from a hot dog.
The follow up I have heard that really causes chaos is "Is cereal in milk a soup?", because it sounds ridiculous but when you think about it there are plenty of both creamy and cold soups.
Thanks for answering my question, guys! Would have been cool to hear Jen's take, too, but I get that she's being chased by little jawas. Ewoks? For me, I think TPM and TFA have kinda backslid to some degree. Other than Qui-gon and Maul, I don't find too many things interesting about TPM now and due to my dislike of TLJ and TRoS (the reasons which have been rehashed over and over and so that dead horse doesn't need to be beat anymore and I don't want to poop on anyone who enjoys it), it kinda retroactively made TFA worse for me? Which has been a bummer, but it is what it is.
As for things that have gotten better, I think AoTC has gotten better for me precisely for the reasons Jen mentioned a bit ago. Obi-Wan's noir detective segment of the story has appealed to me more over the years and it's got great two great light saber fights and, while I feel like the chemistry between Hayden and Natalie feel wooden, I've found the overall experience far better than I remember at the time of release.
As for Book of Bobba Fett, much like Ken, I liked it from the beginning and I made a mental shift quickly enough that I didn't mind that TBoBF was not a look at the underworld of Tatooine, but more about the journey of Boba and, while people point to the best episodes maybe being the ones where Din shows up, looking at The Mandalorian and Boba as just one big set of stories makes it so that that argument doesn't bother me, either.
I think those are my most 'controversial' opinions. I like most of the others even movies like Solo which I thought were pretty decent and fun minus the overstuffed nature of trying to fit every bit of Han's backstory (meeting Chewie, how he won the Falcon, how he got his last name, etc) into a single entry so… yeah. I do wish it was more financially successful so that we could see more of Maul's story with Qi'ra and what was next for those two, Han and Lando. Ehrenreich got criticized for his portrayal of Han, but I found it pretty decent. There's a scene where he's being pressed and on his back foot and he gives a very Ford-esque, "who, me?" forced smile that Ford has in which one side of his smile pulls to one side of his face completely reminiscent of Ford during the OT and I thought Alden was unfairly maligned for his performance b/c the movie didn't perform well at the box office and it became an easy target to lump it all in for criticism.
Always fun to hear you guys talk about this stuff and my only regret is being behind on some of the series so that I have to tip toe around the spoiler-y episodes. Thanks to Joseph, Ken and Jen for another fun episode!
I would very much like Black Series figures of Crait Luke from TLJ and Finn and Poe from RoS. I'm torn about continuing to collect at all for particular reasons, but certain figures have pulled me back in when I've decided to quit in the past.
When I heard forever ago that Apple would start doing tv, I rolled my eyes. I am still always surprised at the quality of the shows they put out. How interesting they are. One of the better brands of subscriptions imo in terms of original shows if that makes sense
I don't think we'll get a Hidden Path show until the end of the Jedi: Fallen Order/Survivor games trilogy since it was born from characters in those games. Cere Junda and Eno Cordova (the founding Jedi) are on the wall in Kenobi next to Voss. So until they finish that story I don't think anyone else is allowed to make big story beats
Thanks!
I love the young guns movies also. I would love to hear the 3 of you talk about Avatar the Last Airbender the way you talk about Star Wars.
