  1. As an expatriate Canadian, you have to watch Slapshot with Paul Newman. It’s vulgar, but is the most real hockey movie ever. If you do watch it, yes hockey was that rough in the 70’s lol. Also 8 Seconds about Lane Frost for another sports movie.

  2. One last thing to note. This movie is based on a novella by Michael Shaara. He also wrote "The Killer Angels", which is an easter egg you see in this movie. That was turned into the Civil War movie "Gettysburg". His son, wrote a prequel to it, and from that we get the Civil War movie "Gods and Generals". Both movies should go on your war movie to do list.

  3. I’m with ya on the V8, 🤢!

And we do have the Chinese take out boxes with the red writing all over the place, it’s not just in the movies. Not in Canada huh?

  4. This isn’t exactly a rom-com – a romantic comedy – as it is a straight romance movie, only in two ways: it’s a story about the romance of the game of baseball and it’s a romantic love story about a man and a woman. Sure, there are a few funny moments in it, but there’s no real comedy to speak of in it. But the central focus of the story is love, and how one man exchanges the love he’s had for baseball since his youth and his devotion to it for the love and devotion he has for this woman, now that his career in baseball is ending. It shows how love can be all-consuming but also life-affirming, and how without it we’re often lost.

A truly beautiful and impressive film. And your reactions to it are absolutely wonderful!

Have you seen THE SANDLOT (1994)? That’s another baseball film, with a somewhat different perspective, that is also quite popular with many people. It has echoes of STAND BY ME (1986) in it, but it’s a bit more light hearted. I think you’ll enjoy that one as well.

  5. OMG!!Finally! I'm so glad you finally watched this movie ladies!! I think I recommended this movie back on your Bull Durham reaction. I knew this movie checked all the boxes for you.Great Kevin Costner movie. Great baseball movie. And great (and I think pretty realistic) love story. I knew both of you would love it. I'll let you in on a little secret. This movie is my go to movie when I'm feeling sappy. Don't judge. LOL. Gotta admit, best parts were watching the two of you react to the parts that I knew would ruin you then the parts that would just make the both of you melt. So glad you loved this one ladies. You're welcome. Lol

  6. If you want to watch an American football film, try Unnecessary Roughness with Scott Backula & Hector Elizondo. Boxer Evander Holyfield plus ex players like Jim Kelly, Jerry Rice, Tony Dorsett & Roger Craig also make an appearance.

Hey Cassie since you're into mermaids I got some information for you,, on one of my recommendations from the year of 1992 is a movie called indecent proposal with Woody harrelson and Demi Moore and for the movie soundtrack is a song from Sade and the name of the song is this is no ordinary and it's available everywhere on YouTube also and it's about a mermaid,, in the music video that is,,!! As she's a mermaid singing the song in the video about a guy who was in the water kind of like splash

  8. How dare you excercise free will in choosing your movies! Don't you realise you are just the meat puppet of Patreon?' Bend it Like Beckham' is a 2002 British soccer comedy that I think you would like.

  9. If you're interested in another Kevin Costner movie, you both should react to A Perfect World. It's great and in my opinion his best movie performance. 😊

  10. It may not mean a thing to anyone else, but this is the film that convinced me that Sam Raimi was going to do, not even a good job, but a great job, with that first Spider-Man movie. I had already known he could do the quirkier parts of comic book films (Darkman nailed that hands down), but the underlying plausible humanity of the characters that actually makes comic book films work… well, like I said, this one cured my doubts.

  11. Kevin Costner was in a lot of sports movies, but his best and most criminally underrated imo is his movie "Tin Cup". Please watch it, you will LOVE it!

  12. For a basketball movie watch Teen Wolf (the movie, not the series)! 😜🤣🤣🤣

I’ve said this multiple times (I am a Chicago White Sox fan… because of this movie) but you should watch Eight Men Out for another baseball movie.
