What people don't realize is this show is actually following NASA's original road map. Apollo was supposed to go through to 1992, Congress cut the funding at Apollo 20 & then again to 18. Oh & yes there was an Apollo 18 it was an "unacknowledged special access black budget" project. The Saturn V was assembled & launched from a remote South Pacific site, that doesn't exist of course. This show makes references to this with the Sea Dragon launches.
Am I the only one who thinks that the NASA-Spaceship is way to small to accomudate all its astronauts, in a way in which they wont kill each other after two months?
In real life, both NASA and SpaceX will have to work togheter in order to reach Mars. Not to mention Elon Musk not being the kind of guy who would leave people behind to their own just to be the first to land on the red planet.
Do they ever account for the effects of micro gravity on the human body? Also the interiors of the ships look to "Star Trekky". They could've used the interior of the ISS for inspiration.
🤔🤔🤔In my opinion the Sojourner is the worst ship for a long duration trip to Mars for one simple reason: Gravity. She undoubtedly has a bold and modern design; but in this Universe; where there is a greater knowledge of Human Beings in Space (At least 40 years more than in our Universe); Scientists should be more aware of the dangers that the lack of gravity causes in the body (loss of muscle and bone mass and weakening of the Immune System, for example); and this knowledge should be utilized in the construction of Long Duration Mission Ships in Deep Space. In my opinion the best ship is the Phoenix; which is capable of generating 1G; besides being formally a Space Hotel; so comfort is not lacking. Even the Russians' Mars 94 must be better prepared; because as it was based on Discovery One from 2001 (Just kidding 😁😁😁); its spherical shape of the Housing just like Discovery One should have a gravitational centrifuge that should gear between 1-100% of the earth's gravity (1G); which makes the Cosmonauts' Organism not suffer so much from the lack of gravity. NASA Scientists should be aware of the effects of lack of Gravity on the Astronaut Organism and should better design Soujourner for a better Deep Space mission; with an External Gravity Centrifuge (like the Phoenix) or Internal (possibly like the Discovery One; I mean; Mars 94). What do you think?
a reusable exposed heat shield on the US vehicle….not sure that would fly…..additionally, landing and taking off from the moon is probably a regolith dust nightmare for that vehicle with its doors…
I love how all of this looks and I hate how it never happened in real life.
This is the best show out period.
One could definitely watch this as the historical documents of The Expanse.
I mean this is nice and all. But the chances that all three would have their vehicles ready, and launch at the same time is a bit of a strech.
This show is reaching close (but not quite) to The Expanse level of hard science fiction.

This alternate reality is way cooler than what we actually got.

I miss the 90s. 😔
oh I get it now black hole sun was released on 94
Man… Every time I watch this show I feel so ecstatic and filled with pride… But also so incredibly robbed… We truly live in a ripped off timeline.
The CGI ain't all that great :/
There is no way the 2000's season is going to have as decent music as SHE.
Great story but the CGI looks cartoony.
In a world run by capable women…
I absolutely love the song choice in this scene
I think Godspeed is actually the speed of light. IDK.

bruh this used to be kinda realistic .now they have a shuttle millennium falcon
This show seems to totally suck
this series is a slap in the face to humanity 😯.
존나 다 여자여자여자 ㅋㅋㅋ pc에 처물든…
origins of the expanse be like:
love the show, but this idea that there would be all manual flight control of a ship on takeoff and landing is preposterous…

Cutouts as to why MARS-94 lifted off from Earth instead of the 🌙. Less resistance due to no atmosphere would have been more fuel efficient.
Someone explain how Helios got ahead of NASA even with more velocity could they catch-up from the moon
У СССР стимпанк-рокета? Мели Емеля, твоя неделя.
Watched this 20 times and counting…
Why don't you use this module platform for landing on the moon.
Easier to put human being on the moon less expensive too.
