My potential theories of rooster's dead people/wishes gone wrong.
A: he can straight up see some ghosts/sprirts.
B: The wishes are being tainted by an outside force so the wisher dies/incapacitated and potentially then rooster 'sees' their spirits later since it is unclear if its connected or not.
C: Rooster might be misinterpretating the wishes in a way that somehow always lead to tragedy.
D: Since rooster is half geine half something, maybe that something is supressing/changed/taints how rooster interacts with his genie powers. Atleast i dont think it has been revealed his other half.

Theory: When Rooster is referring to coming back to life, he was talking about successful death saves. He also mentions 3 other people who has come back to life. This could mean that Rooster used to have other party members, party members who are long gone.
