We’re.. almost at the end of the Full Live Album series, which I’m honestly a little upset about. Of course, today’s upload is all about the band’s ninth studio album, Concrete & Gold, released in 2017. This album was the first one I majorly took note of as a fan. While I was a fan by the time Sonic Highways was releasing, I wasn’t quite into the band enough to really get hyped for that album, and so this album holds a special place for me. While I do have a couple of issues with the album itself, mainly the production of the album and a couple of fine tracks, when presented as a live album, I loved this album. The songs I thought were just fine or boring at parts have new life in them, and I’m a big fan of the outcome.
This album tour (if I’m remembering correctly), is the first to feature backing vocalists aside from the core band members, expanding the band’s on stage presence to now nine total people, which gives these live versions a bit of grandiose.
I finally have the honour of being able to include recordings from concerts that I was able to attend with this upload, which felt great. I loved reliving those moments while listening to this and it was amazing to think back to them. Run, The Sky Is A Neighborhood and Dirty Water were all taken from two shows that I was able to go to.
The audio quality throughout is a little bit shakey at times, since some of the songs were only ever played maybe once or twice (and Happy Ever After was never played), but I have tried my best to make this the best listening experience I can.
