  1. I'm fairly confident they are trying to change the ACC system to unequal distribution, there is no way they cough up $120M and the next 12 years of TV revenue just to get out of the ACC. That doesn't make any sort of sense.

  2. Contracts 101: you need a mutual promise in exchange for "consideration" (usually money or performance of some action). ACC/ESPN promised a network/payout based on that network in exchange for an extension of G.O.R. beyond 2027 to 2036. Comcast (the largest provider) did offer that network until last yr. An argument for non-performance doesn't have to even succeed, all it needs to do is create a threat of success to at least negotiate a buyout which FSU can finance and pay in installments

  3. ESPN has deals with ACC, SEC and Big10. Why would they let FSU bolt from this sweet deal they signed for the next decade to go pay MORE for them in the SEC or Big10?

  4. Warchant having a take on realignment is like Warchant predicting how potential recruits are leaning….and we all know how that went…Dont waste your time.

  5. Wouldn’t ESPN agreeing to renegotiate The ACC contract subject ALL contracts of media to similar challenges? A signed contract should be concrete outside of possible unforeseen events that could possibly call for changes. No catastrophe or seismic event has occurred so it should have to be litigated with all pressure on the complainant.

  6. If they were able to leave, they would have already
Florida State has been a doormat in recent years. Not sure why they think they will have success in a tougher conference
