Florida Shell Tour at Low Tide. 3 Islands – One Awesome Tour Finding Shells

I got quite lucky on my most recent Florida shell tour as we got to visit 3 different islands in one fun morning. Low tide probably helped a little, but having 3 different shelling experiences on our shell tour made this trip 3 times as much fun!

  1. Woohoo!! What an awesome shell tour! I’m headed back down to Rocky point for a beachy Christmas this week:) I got my rubber boots ready for some chilly low tide shell hunting! The tides are supposed to be negative 3-4 feet so I’m SO excited!! Happy holidays Sharmon!🎄😄

  3. Oh wow!! What absolutely amazing and beautiful finds! I’d be lying if said I wasn’t even a tiny bit envious of all these shells and your shelling trip. That massive Shark Eye and Angel Wing are just stunning! And that final shot of all the shells….THAT is why I one day hope to make it down to SWFL/Marco/10K Islands in the colder months to do some winter shelling…the shells really do seem to be better and more abundant then. Thanks for another great shelling video! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!!

  5. Hey Sharmon! When are you going to drop some acid…shell videos on us??!! I'd love to see you drop some of these in acid. Hope you and our fellow seashell friends are doing well in Florida. The baby horse conchs can be called foals. Great video!

  6. You found a new species. The Morse Code Cone, a sub genre of the Alphabet Cone. Seeing the piles of shells washed way up on Kice and all the flattened trees shows how far the storm surge came. And that huge pile of Pen Shells! This excursion shows that there is truth to the feeling that after a storm the shelling is great. As the tides continue to churn the sand up more will be revealed.

  7. Hello! Visiting Anna Maria Island and wondered if you had places near that you could recommend for shelling. We were supposed to go to North Captiva, which was canceled after Ian. My heart hurts so much for Sanibel and Captiva residents as I had friends who lived here since 1988. Many trips here to paradise!!😢 I pray you and everyone else will stay strong and rebuild.
If you have suggestions, I would be grateful to hear about them until 12/26😊
Wishing you a blessed holiday and so enjoy your weekly videos!!

  9. Hi Sharmon. I always look forward to your videos. It is just heartbraking to see the extend of damage that was caused… I got just as excited when you found those Moon shells and Shark eyes. I am including a link of another lady I am also following. When I saw this video tonight I immediately thought of you and what your reaction would be if you could go shelling here. I would go nuts..😍 Lots of hugs…
