In this video I would like to show you a pre-release preview of the Flight to Hara Vera total conversion mod.

The mod changes as much of the game into a new experience as is possible within the limits of hardcoded parts of the game. It features new ship parts, modified visuals and radio messages, modified gameplay, a custom new set of npcs, new prologue and a customized campaign.

The campaign gameplay experience shifts from the missile-centric gameplay towards more aircraft-centric gameplay.

The mod is created by the Hara Vera team and it is planned to release its first beta version some time next week.

  1. I disagree about the mod being focused on aircraft combat and epic carrier battles
    Missiles have been massively buffed in the mod
    the Kh-15 now travels at 4.5k kph speed, while maintaining the 1600km range.
    the A-100 has its range buffed to 600km
    the A-200, a new missile added, has 2.5k speed and 1200km range, and can be launched in combat for a near guaranteed kill. This missile is more intended to hit planes though.
    the R-3 has been buffed to 3000km range.

    In addition all conventional missile warheads seem to have been buffed massively, being able to reliably 1 shot cruiser class ships. In addition to that, enemy capital ships seem to have very poor R-9 sprint protection, only at most 4-6 sprints at best, being saturated after only 1, maybe 2 missile strikes. This mod i'd argue is a missileer's dream.
    Also small ships can now use the A-220 launcher, which only costs 1 ammo now instead of 4 while maintaining the same performance….or they can use that 130mm gatling gun too, costs 3 ammo to match the firepower of nearly 3 D-80s.
