On the idea of cohesiveness (to which I definitely agree with your point): Dawko did an interview with steel wool recently and they said something along the lines of they kept finding things they wanted to add. I think they tried to add everything and in the process the “fluidity” of the gameplay got lost. That’s not to say that this game isn’t an absolute labor of love or that there isn’t good parts but rather that sticking to a streamlined idea might have helped.
