  4. I love this movie! I saw it when it came out. You are picking some wonderful movies! I just looked at Wiki, and the lead actor is a dancer. This was his first acting role. I am so glad you liked it.

  9. I watched this with my parents years ago, and we liked it so much we watched it again the next night 😀 I think this movie was one of the things that got me into competitive ballroom dancing later on.

  17. The idea of different steps, was a nighmare for the established teachers. If they could not do them they would not be able to teach them. Scott's dad would have been the star, they didn't want that at any cost. Simple as that.

  21. When I was in college in the late 80s-90s, ballroom dance was very popular. We danced several times a week to different live bands. It was great fun. Some other fun dance movies are Take the Lead with the delicious Antonio Banderas, and Shall We Dance, the American (Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez) and Japanese versions are both very good.
