If they didn't target the ships first they would escape with the injured clones onboard and the space station with 50% of its patients would be the only thing they destroy, by destroying the ships first they take out 50% who can escape and can then destroy those who can't aboard the medical station. They have a better chance of getting all 100% and killing 60,000 clones using the method they did.
Bombers are also a major threat to any capital ships and need to be taken seriously, remember that you've seen a single ship destroy the Death Star in A New Hope, and another destroy the droid control ship from The Phantom Menace all on their own, a group of them is absolutely something to focus your fire on if you want to not blow up. (And those weren't even proper bombers according to Star Wars, they were both multi-role fighters, so bombers can carry even more boom)

Grievous’s strategy actually makes sense. The station couldn’t go anywhere so he shot the ships that could get away and then tried to take care of the fighters because there’s no point destroying the station if you die immediately after

I believe there are 7 lightsaber forms. Some are for defensive, some offensive, some in the middle.
I forget which form it is , but Yoda uses a certain lightsaber form which allows him to be super aggressive and use the force to jump around and move faster than the eye can see…. But that form tires a person out.
They only have so much 'stamina' while using more offensive and agressive light saber forms, kind of like in video games where when your stamina goes to zero, you cant run.
Thats why yoda walks with a cane. Hes like 900 years old. Hes old af. He uses force reserves to move like that
