  1. There's one thing in this movie that doesn't really make sense and it's the war between the Kong's and Godzilla.
So originally in the previous movies they said Godzilla was a species and there was multiple, also the kongs and the Godzillas had a war which killed all of the Godzilla's except for one and killed most of the Kongs but they had to change it because the studio Toho said that Godzilla can't have a species when they gave their rights to Legendary and made them switch directors from the previous movies. Which doesn't make sense because in the previous movies in the monsterverse and older movies outside of the monsterverse it's always been said that Godzilla was a species.
So when you do the math of size difference for the Kong's in this movie, they would have been way bigger than Godzilla when he fought them the first time, so he would have lost that's why it doesn't make that much sense lore wise.

  2. It's been an absolute blast watching you guys react to the Monsterverse movies! The two daddies teamed up one more time to save the world, but this most definitely isn't their last as there's a sequel in the works for 2027! This film was very controversial amongst fans due to many things like Godzilla's sudden character change, killing off beloved titans(Scylla and Tiamat), the weak human characters, and more. Nothing was planned for the Monsterverse ahead of GvK so this film just did whatever so hopefully the studio takes notes for the future. Overall, thanks for dipping into our beloved monster fiesta and being such awesome creators. It's rare to see people like you do research of these franchises and you have my up most respect.

Edit: I had to edit this because when you guys mispronounced Shimo as "Shimu", that was her original name lmao. She was also originally male but switched to female.

  3. Hey ladies, Shimoo is a girl. At the end of the vid review of the movie you guys was saying, "He". Just a correction to understand Shimo awesome power that an ancient Titan female wields in the " Monster Verse! πŸ€—

  4. One thing to think about. The baby monkey in this movie is bigger than kong was as a teenager in the skull island movie. Hard to tell with the scaling but little dude is HUGE for his age
Also in contrast to last movie where godzilla was just pissed off to all hell this movie hes more like "would yall shut up and let me sleep?!"

  5. So, the reason that Godzilla moves so easily in the zero gravity scene is because it's similar to swimming in water. Astronauts actually train for zero gravity of space in swimming pools, so Godzilla moving so easily is one of my favorite derails πŸ₯°

Also, totally check out Monarch Legacy of Monsters! It's a fantastic show that gives much more lore about this monsterverse

  6. Not sure if you guys caught it since it was cut from the video, but when Skar King herd Godzilla's roar as he entered the hollow earth he panicked a bit , probably still remembers the woopin he got last time

  7. 3:55 According to the funny and heartwarming sections of TV Tropes, Kong's reaction to Doug stealing his food from him is one of annoyance rather than aggression, suggesting that this is a regular occurrence, and it's implied that he (Kong) has grown at least a little bit fond of the mischievous creature enough to let him take some of his food πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ€—πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ˜Œ.

  8. Some of the Great Apes have individual names: according to TV Tropes, according to the novel, the one with the blind right eye πŸ‘ is fittingly called "One-Eye" and is apparently one of Skar King's children alongside Suko and other infants πŸ€”πŸ˜“. The one that Kong tries to save from falling off the cliff but ends up having to kick him off the cliff for real in self-defense because he was a sorry little ingrate who still attempted to kill Kong after he had just saved his life πŸ˜ πŸ˜‘πŸ™„πŸ˜’πŸ€¨, his name was Stone Fist πŸ‘Š ✊️ πŸ€› 🀜. Another one of the initial attackers along with One-Eye and Stone Fist was called Catcher. Another one of Skar King's goons, the one crushed by Kong's giant swinging stone trap was apparently called Knob. The ape who was Suko's caretaker whom Skar King brutally murdered in front of Suko and Kong, his name was Gnarled Finger, and while "friend" might be going a bit far, the novelization reveals that, prior to meeting Kong, Gnarled Finger was the only Great Ape to treat Suko with any measure of kindness by letting him eat the scraps of his meals and shielding πŸ›‘ him from being attacked by the other apes πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜£πŸ˜”. And the Great Ape slave that Kong helps up and beats up the bully abusing him, while not named in the movie, was named "Boots" by the movie's vfx animators πŸ€”πŸ˜‰.

  9. I heard/read somewhere that the next film will focus more on Godzilla, and be "channeling Destoroyah" 😰πŸ˜₯πŸ˜“. Hopefully they'll also make a version of Baby Godzilla/Minilla/Minya/Godzilla Jr, so that along with Mothra and Kong, plus Suko and Shimo, Godzilla won't feel so lonesome in that he won't be the last of his kind anymore πŸ˜‰. Plus, that would give Suko a friend to play with πŸ˜‰.
