The histories were written by the lying pos Andals and maesters. Don't believe a word of it.
I actually do really like you lore reactions. I think as you do more of them, the better they get … just because you have the context of the background being provided. I can't wait for the next episode.
Although the Sealord of Braavos is one of the most powerful political figures in Essos, the role was never cast for Game of Thrones so we won't meet him. The closest we get is Syrio Forel who used to be First Sword of Braavos, meaning he used to command the Sealord's personal guard. Tycho Nestoris is the Braavosi banker Davos pled to on Stannis's behalf. He's played by Mark Gatiss, the same actor who plays Mycroft Holmes on the BBC's Sherlock.
Dorne is not always female led. In Dorne, it doesn't matter if the ruler is male or female. Also, they are Rhoynar, not Valyrian. Nymeria and her people were driven out by the Valyrians.
So Dorne is not female-led in the sense that women always hold the reins. Unlike the rest of Westeros, the oldest child regardless of gender is the heir.
In the series, Doran was older than Elia and Oberyn. However, his mother was the ruling Princess of Dorne before him as the oldest child of the previous ruler. (the Llewyn Martell that accompanies Rhaegar's army against Robert in Ser Barristan's story is actually her younger brother).
The Martells are not part Valyrian, they are descended from the Rhoynar.
Barristan's dream still loves on in the books if it's makes you feel better
33:15 LMAO!
Valyria said: Oooh! Ya'll like slaying Dragons huh? Well here! Slay to your heart's content!
Nymeria was the last remaining heir of the Rhoynar people mentioned in the lore video. It was the collection of peoples on the banks of the great river Rhoyne. They lost to Valyrians (Targaryens) when they unleashed 300 dragons & made the Rhoynar king watch.
Nymeria fled to Dorne & the blood of Rhoynar continues through her in the Martell lineage. Later on, as the Targaryens married into the Martell royal family, their bloodlines intermingled. This is why in House of the Dragon, the title for the reigning King includes the words, 'King of the Andals, the RHOYNAR & the first men' (something they skipped in GOT) to acknowledge that the Rhoynar bloodline survives in Westeros through Nymeria & her Martell descendants.
As usual, great reaction guys.
“There is only one God and his name is Death.” -Syrio Forel
Valyria had over 1000 dragons
I don't think Barriston Selmy winning would have changed anything. Rhaegar would still have kidnapped Lyanna he gave her the wreath because he liked her. He still would have liked her if he lost. Also The King's Guard protects the King and the Royal Family. It's not just the King. Barriston was extremely familiar with Rhaegar and used to protect him when he went on Jaunts around the town. Remember he told Daenarys a few stories about him.
Dorne Succession is not only female. It passes to the eldest child regardless of gender. That's why Doran became Prince of Dorne and Elia wasn't the ruling Princess. They were brother and sister she got married off to Rhaegar.
no, Nymeria was not from Valyria, She was Rhoynar who were against the Valryians
Its so hard for me to believe that you dont now nothing about the rest of the series but ok… if you say so, but i love to see you guys, much love from Portugal
It's funny to see how you both like Meria Martell when she told Rhaenys that Aegon wouldn't conquer Dorne, but she was actually a pretty bad person xd
the faith is wrong, obvious, there is really no room for intepretation in GoT. They kill and make rules up to gain power for themself and punish on their behalf,
You guys are missing one reaction. It's about Aegon's conquest called Conquest and Rebellion, and has spoilers, but they are avoidable
@Spartan & Pudgy don’t pay heed to negative comments they’re bots.
Honestly your reaction to 300 dragons was the best one 😂😂😂 and rest assured it was 100% accurate. You’re right with that type of power Valyria actually did rule the whole world. Valyria wasn’t an empire for nothing. It was as big and mighty as Rome in real life, perhaps even bigger and they had 1000+ dragons.
The Martells are not “part Valyrian”. Nymeria was Rhoynish. She fled from the Valyrians.
Funny how Ellaria’s speech here is far more interesting and compelling than the Dorne storyline…
Ah i can't wait for the biggest lie in Westeros to be revealed to you, everythink will start making sense from that point
Seeing your reactions to the history of the Fighting Pits, makes me wonder if you should react to the Spartacus series next.
Bravos was introduced in season 4 with Stannis’ trip to the Iron Bank
