It was fun watching you react to this. I was raised on classical music and I was familiar with most of these pieces, and I am an artist. This is just supposed to be a FUN movie. Most reactors get so "esoteric" about Fantasia (did he interpret the music correctly? Are the stories politically correct by today's standards?". But I think Disney's goal was to make make classical music enjoyable for even non-classical people, and to make fun stories to help you "experience" the music. And that's what it did for you. Without being any kind of an "expert", you were able to get into the music, enjoy it, and be swept along in the stories without preconceived ideas of what it "should" be.
