I'm noticing several visual metaphors that I didnt my first watch through about Eren: The Attack Titan in this form, the smaller body looks like a Marionette puppet. When he was in the paths with the founder, he was the same young child with the sunken eyes, the same slave stuck to a purpose without control of their destiny. The last one is a bit of a spoiler, so I'll leave the comment until the last video.
I'd noticed the puppet imagery before, but the other metaphors just jumped out at me this time showing the state that Eren is in.

The main thing that drives the anime fan interest in the sub versions is that the original language is done by pretty high end actors. Whereas in general english translations often use the same crop of actors from every show that they translate or in extreme cases, they put american politics into the translation. AoT is one that breaks the mold and has a really good english dub. However, my critique of the english is that Eren's voice is like a whining moaning wuss, and for some really strange reason, the titan's voices sound like eagles instead of a grizzly bear. SCRAWWWWWWWW!

When everyone’s saying goodbye to Annie you can see Levi still staring with complete resentment. He never forgot what she did to his comrades and squad.
Oh believe me AOT is on top of the list of shows that is so much enjoyable and arguably better when it’s a rewatch, and yeah you may prefer watching it with dub but I don’t think you can have an incorrect translation as a reason, the best translations is pretty much known and solid but as i know the dub change some of the phrases to fit the language so having few incorrect lines can’t be worse than many lines that has changed to fit the language, but yeah i think that will help with focusing on the visuals
At this point in the anime, I made peace with the fact that Eren said he couldn't be convinced to stop and was all in for the plan to take him out. This isn't like earlier in the anime when there was time to consider all the options, we're in the thick of it now, and it's do or die. I'm really looking forward to rewatching Reiner be awesome in battle; I love the armor titan!

This scene is beautifully set, not only it is a fitting farewell to Hange herself, but also clearly illustrates how insignificant the worldly hardships are, once you pass on.
If yall did do a dub rewatch I will be there or if yall did just popular moments in dub. I did the same and love the dub as well as the sub. Bryce papenbrook(Eren) is goated in the dub and so is Erwin’s speech, other than titan scream everything is pretty good.

I suggest you look up a picture that shows the progress of Eren's eyes. It's subtle but you can see little by little how the light in his eyes vanishes through the show, so him being like he is in season 4 is not a complete surprise. Especially season 3 is the catalyst.
If you are interested in second watch. I think you should try reading the source material the manga. It got great artworks.
Japanese anime places emphasis on the appeal of villains.
It is rare for a villain to end up as a villain. If you continue to watch anime, pay attention to the character growth and the appeal of the villain. There is no absolute justice on either side.
I still partly stand with Eren until this point. I don't think Eren lost any humanity in the rumbling, it's a rational decision.
My biggest takeaway after seeing this was that no justification Eren gave would've ever been enough. The carnage he brought was magnitudes more horrifying than anything we could've imagined and it was extremely important for us to see in such gruesome and traumatic detail the consequences of giving one person an inconceivable amount of power. Even knowing the full story, it doesn't change that what we see here is inexcusable. You can understand how we got to this point and argue who to place the blame on, but the fact remains that from point on Eren deserved nothing but the gravest punishment
AOT is exactly what made me discover this channel. It made me binge watch all of you guys' videos since its creation. Badd Medicine was in my top 5 YT channel of 2025. You guys are the best and I'm so glad AOT made me discover these bunch of cool dudes.

I really wish you guys did the dub from the get go. But I understand because the sub fans are louder. If you’re primary language is English, the dub is better due to the fact that there are many things lost in translation in the sub. The characters have different lines which gives the story greater meaning and emotional impact for English speaker. The people who say sub or nothing are more “originalist. They’re loyal to the Japanese version of the story.

29:00 there was no stopping Eren because if "talking" could've stopped him, he wouldn't have done what he did to begin with. You do not begin omnicide on a whim, if you have- then you were fully committed to it. And when it came to being committed to a cause- no one could do it better than Eren.

28:44 I've suspected this path pretty much in season 1 already and was extremely sure in season 3 when he learned the hardening. There's a lot of narrative elements they used that prepped Eren up to become the monster and not to rely on anyone else – over and over again even, all while he was just a little traumatized kid, with the weight of being humanities savior on his shoulders. So no, I did not have any hope for him and absolutely thought he's out for genociding the world at this point. Even if they could reach him, at this point he has the blood of millions of innocent people on his hands. There's no coming back from that.

38:40 You have NO idea how many clues you miss on a first watch, because you lack the context. Eren literally says in episode 2 that he's going to "kill them all" (unfortunately some subtitles add "titans" at the end, which is inaccurate), at the end of season 1 when he rages he even says that he wipes the Earth clean. Or our three warriors, there's several sentences that have a double meaning, one without and one with context. Like after Eren got eaten and they're on the roof with Armin, Annie asks Reiner what to do know and he replies that they should all make a move together. Without context you read it as the trainees, with context it's clear they meant them three. There's generally tons of foreshadowing all over the previous seasons.
40:36 It's more of the quality voice acting. The voice actors here put some serious effort and emotions into it, while a lot of English dubs are kinda problematic in their quality.
46:11 There's one intermission card that's fairly long which tells a story about some guy who one day decided to dig under the wall, just to realize that the walls apparently extend a good way beneath the soil. So if we consider this, then we kinda have answer as to how Berthold was slightly larger than the walls (although he might've also just stretched himself a bit), and that the colossal titans are the same size.

By the time we got past the opening sequence of the Rumbling in this episode, I had decided that Eren was unforgiveable. I thought he might still be able to somehow do some good with his power by the end, but any hope I had to find a justification for it all? No. That shit is dead and done.
The little boy I watched grow up with his justified hate of Titans, turned into the very thing he hate dialed up to 100.

I had given up on stopping eren and slapping him into reality, I had accepted that it'd probably be a tragic ending…and I had guessed that it'll end with eren dead.
But I was certain it would turn out well. Cos a common theme in movies or shows where a character knows present past and future is that they always win, and the end always makes sense, even when they loose.
(For example look at watchmen movie and series)

My first time watch with this one honestly it torn me haha I got so hyped with this one that I started shouting and embracing the genocide not gonna lie I dunno all that Gabi scenes and the Reiner,Eren, jean scene where they justify their actions whether it was right or wrong, all the disputes bout discrimination and hate got me manifesting those emotions with this movie specially on that commander in the watch tower when his giving his speech bout ending the hate and suffering, didn't buy it though ain't trusting that guy I wanted him dead honestly got me all worked up I didn't care whose gonna die so yea that's me lol and no I don't think I had hope that Eren will change but at that point I didn't care HAHA I just went w/ the flow and I act like Yelena u know I just wanna see how it ends, I was really on the edge of the rope nothing to think about except the rumbling and how it will end.
