  2. You surely need a new anime after AoT. I really suggest One Piece, but use One Pace – a fanedit that removes 120h of filler, whilst staying 100% manga accurate. Its gettin to the point where if you dont watch/read it now, you wont catch up before the story finishes and what the One Piece is will be revealed and spoilers will be unavoidable, which changes the entire experience. Even the last major development was all over the internet and even on some national TV stations.

  3. Them arguing over who's suffered more is at the heart of the story. The majority of the world wants to exterminate everyone on the Island due to some past tragedies and can't let go of their anger. The result is all that hate and anger gives rise to someone like Eren and the others in the walls. People often mistake the message of the series as being not to give into revenge like Eren but it's actually more a warning at what happens when you constantly oppress people as like a beaten dog they will eventually bite back. Marley and most of the world wanted to commit mass extermination on the Island and now they are on the receiving end of such an action as they created the very monster they feared by backing the people of the Island into a corner.

Paradis is a Medeival society and they are facing an industrialized world they wants to exterminate them. The is no peace to be had so Eren reaches for the only option he can, the "nuke them" button in order to save everything he cares about.

  4. Looking at episode count it seems like there isn't much left but the last 2 episodes are basically film length so about 3-4 episodes of content each. The final two they will probably do one episode a week. Time feels like it's flown by with them now approaching the end and probably 3 weeks left. 27-28, 29, and the Final 30.

  5. I’ve only watched them since the begging of the aot reaction, but now that I’ve watched some older reactions to movies and I know that the oak is a meme lord, I can’t look at him in the same serious way as before 😂

  6. This is really the worst part of Attack on Titan. A struggle session for Eldians while Magath, the one directly responsible for the ENTIRE mess gets a complete pass.
If he had said he was at least sorry for kicking things off I might think differently but I am firmly on the side of the Jeagerists.

  7. Connie, who started out as part of the comic relief, really has gone through a lot throughout the show. Had to kill two friends face to face here at the port (one of which was Samuel, who Sasha saved in S1). Lost his entire village thanks to Zeke, so he has no home to go back to. He had to give up on saving his mother (his only remaining family) who was turned into a Titan and it pains him to see her that way. Watched his best friend, Sasha, die, helpless to do a thing to save her. Sasha, who was as close to him as a twin. Betrayed over and over by people he trusted and even admired. Then he was forced to becoming the betrayer because he couldn't turn a blind eye from doing what he believed was right.

  8. "Genocide is wrong, I'll be damned if we justify it somehow."
"I'm sure none of them would be so self-centered as to say 'as long as fhe island has freedom, that's all that matters'"
There… that's your mindset for the finale.
What Eren's doing is wrong, even if his reasons might be in the vicinity of 'right.'
Yes, it's complex but also not: genocide is never a solution.

  9. This storyline during the COVID was the most awaited Manga at the time.. I remember the chaos on reddit etc. to read this section before the memes and all was hilarious when I look back at it.. what a time that was! xD You'll know soon why there almost no animation in 4×25 😛 the coming episodes are gonna blow your minds ^_^

  10. I think you missed it in 4×25, but part of what the conversation at the campfire was about was scaling the essence of the Forest analogy to its simplest form.

They are sitting in the Forest, they are blaming each other for their bloodied histories, they are talking past each other and pretending to not acknowledge anything about the pain the others at the campfire have experienced and the moment they come to blows… sure, the intended target of the victim is hurt – but it unintentionally hurts one of the children.

THAT is the cycle of the Forest, and AoT in a nutshell. The cycle where adult, filled with hatred won't listen or learn from their past mistakes, and its the next generation, the children that unintentionally wind up getting hurt. We've seen it with Eren. We've seen it with Marley as a nation. We've seen it with Grisha, Gabi and even the relationship between the Founder Ymir and the original King Fritz. We see it in the genocidal aspirations of both Marley and Eren.

This episode reflects deeply on that, which I always thought was part of the reason why the OP doesn't play – it's a song that everyone thought was hype and exciting and a total banger… but the hatred and the consequences of that hatred in the show is not hype, not exciting, and decidedly NOT a banger.

  11. 19:30 C'mon, give little Annie a break – she's been mostly out of the loop for years since end of Season 1. She doesn't know where the current temperature is 🤣
23:55 Lady Azumabito is not the queen – she is nobility of the royal bloodline, but she's just an ambassador 🤔

  12. 2:53 ಠ_ಠ You're doing Jeen-Jean so dirty. It's him imagining how his life would be if he'd join the Jaegerists. If you remember, in season 1 he joined the trainees in order to go into the interior as part of the military police, until Marco happened. And if you pay even more attention, he's together with Mikasa, who he's been crushing on since season 1.
    4:03 Hange. <3
7:58 14:41 They're in the forest. Remember the words of Sasha's father. And by the end of the episode they left the forest with a common goal.
Btw, the two guys at the port are Daz & Samuel. Daz was the one on the mountain that Ymir saved. He also was one of the people who almost deserted before they plugged the wall in season 1. Samuel was the guy that Sasha shot through the leg to save him at the start of the second attack on the walls. That's why he was referring that moment at 33:30 as just before the attack Sasha stole some meat.
    34:36 Same team now.
