  2. The rain kept a lot of the crowds away.
I am glad you found those cafes to warm up a bit.
It was still a pleasant walk. some of the stone walls reminded me of parts of Ireland.
    I personally prefer "Off-season travel"

  3. Hiiii boys! I’m so sorry that you weren’t able to truly enjoy your time on Taketomi Island, because of the rain. 😒 I love how the folks live so simply. I’d especially love to know how old the oldest resident of that area is. The Ox pulling that trailer full of people was definitely a step back in time. Thank you for sharing yet another amazing bucket list destination! Note to selfβ€”make sure I wear the seatbelt on the boat! πŸ˜‚

  4. I'm happy to see a water buffalo which reminds me of travels through Taiwan, South China and Vietnam, but I think that cart is too heavy. It actually looks dangerous for the gentle animal on the wet surfaces.

  6. There is something about walking in this kind of weather and environment that is very grounding.. It not necessarily glamorous, yet the beauty shines through and allows you to get back to basics, something simple. I hope your next time there is more fulfilling for you.

  7. I know you were both disappointed with the weather and shops being closed, but I love that you stayed positive and still made a beautiful video that I really enjoyed. The rain was so peaceful and comforting. The hibiscus and lantana and other plants were amazing, and I think even more so with the rain on them. I'm glad you were able to find a couple cafes to have some food and hot tea to warm up. The only thing that made me sad was seeing the water buffalo being made to pull that cart full of people.😞 I hope you do go back there and get to do the bike ride and see everything else while it's sunny and warm. That will be fun! ☺

  8. Please change your thumbnail for this video. Please don't promote that poor buffalo pulling that too heavy cart. I worry for the poor animal, what it must suffer on busy days.
Use a more positive thumbnail πŸ™

  9. Hi Guys, Kudos to you both for braving the wet weather and showing us this beautiful Island. Loved seeing the rock walls throughout the village along with the banana trees and various flowers and shrubs. A nice peaceful walk. The food looked delicious and the Hibiscus tea looked refreshing. Have a great weekend. πŸ˜€πŸ‘

  10. @Shinichi's World How do you two always seem to find such great places to visit that remind me of places here in the states? You two ever get a chance to visit my home state of Michigan you should check out Mackinaw Island. (Granted Shinichi) you'd have to take a ferry ride to get on the island but well worth it IMO. Good food, lots of sweet FUDGE, and a day trip during the late spring through the late fall never fails to put a smile on the face of those who visit.
