From what I've seen people really like Bergara and Tikas……
Also from what I have seen the 28 Nosler is THE 7 to rule all 7, never seen one disappoint unlike the Hornady offering its never had a issue getting velocity
These rifles are so much nicer than tikka, for the same money (that tikka is now charging for their rifle's with cheap plastic stocks, plastic trigger guards and bottoms and cheap functionless recoil pad, no threaded muzzle, no cerakote etc….)
The Begara rifle is at least as smooth as an earlier Sako, Heym, and Sauer. I haven't had much luck in the accuracy department, although it is still early days yet.
I'd like one in the 7prc. I hear the 28 life expectancy is around 700ish rounds. I like your style of videos. Keep up the good work.
I wouldn't trust that scope as far as i could kick it… and I've kicked a few. Owned 6 or 7 at one time, lost zero on nearly all of them and customer service was junk. Monarch =garbage. I am thankful that they are extinct. Awesome rifle though..love your content.
Did I mention Nikon = TRASH!
I have that model in a 6.5 PRC. I love it. It rivals Tikka for the action
Bergara's are definitely nice rifles. I have a timber in 308 and it does shoot nice but with bergara's you need a detachable magazine because the feed port is so small. It's annoying to load the rifle. Also, Bergaras Don't have a locking bolt and that's definitely a necessity when hiking.
I also have a Tikka t3x in 30-06 and I added a falcon strike recoil pad and recoil is minimal. I really like the Tikka. It's a bona fide hunting rifle that I can literally abuse. I hear people complain about the stock but I don't have any complaints. And I noticed there's a lot of guys that don't like Tikka simply because everyone loves them so much.
Nice rifle but if it was me try a 7mm weatherby mine shoots half moa and with factory 160 partition at 3212 fps from chronograph
My bergara shoots like trash. Tikkas are the only bolt action going in the woods with me, and the tikka is smoother and has a better trigger.
I thought about purchasing a Bergara rifle in 7 prc it looks neat.
That didn’t look like it kicked all that bad the weight and brake I’m sure helped. 28 nosler isn’t talked about as much in the last year or so.
Hello from Spain, thank you very much for appreciating the Bergara rifles, we are very happy with this brand and that you in the US like it, very good content, greetings.
I know you’re a big guy, but it doesn’t look like it was thumping you too bad. I bet if you shoot a white tail with those ballistic tips you won’t have much deer left.
Probably my first non Savage bolt action rifle will be the Bergara B14 Sierra Wilderness LH in not 28 Nosler but 7 PRC to fit in between my 270 Win and 300 WSM
28 Nosler trails the 7mm Ultra Magnum a little bit. I'd perhaps equate it to somewhere between 7mm STW and 7mm Ultra Mag.
I've never used a Bergara, but like you, I've handled them at firearms retailers and they are fabulous feeling, from stock grip to action smoothness. If I could get both of those features in a controlled round feed and .50 MOA, I'd be a happy person.
Mine settled in after about 80 rounds. Running 175 ELDX's with RL33 at 3181fps. One ragged hole groups. It likes the ELDX's better than the Nosler ABLR's.
Bergara barrels do require a barrel break in, and it looks like not many types of ammo were tried. I bet with some experimentation it will be a great shooter
Have the B-14 hunter in 3006. 1 of my favorite, If not my most favorite rifle.
I had a Bergara chambered in 300 PRC absolute garbage. Ended up sending it back 3 times and they fixed the accuracy issues it had but then it would not eject live rounds. They sent me an email saying they aren’t designed to eject 300 PRC as a live round. Will never buy another.
Im shocked by your statement of "I love this rifle" @ 1:14 after seeing the basketball size group.
Tried different ammunition
Just bought a used b14 hunter extreme in 6,5×55 swe, couldn't agree more on the smoothness of the bolt. Had a Tikka before and I like this action way more. Shoots .5" for me and I like the stock a lot better than on the tikka.
Interesting caliber that 28 Nosler. Hope it all works out well for you. I had a Bergara Hunter in 30-06 that would not shoot anything. I tried 12 different factory loads and could never get less than 1.75” group. The shop I bought it at took it back and I got a Tikka 270. Never looked back. I only chalk it up to that one anomaly of factory rifles. I’ve heard other Bergara rifles do shoot fine.
Are any of there rifles stainless steel under the cerakote? I’d buy one if they had stainless steel. Oh fyi . Bergara makes the barrels for the new Winchester model 70s if anyone cares .
I have shot a 28Nosler. I believe it was in a muzzle broke Nosler rifle. It shot really nice, very accurate, and not bad for recoil.
I was talking to a guy who has a 28 Nosler at the store we were both buying powder he told me it cost like 120$ for a 20 round box 😂
I have 2 Bergara B 14 Hunter rifles. 7mm rem mag and a 7mm-08. Both shoot great. I really like the way they feel
I really like Begara think they are more than a 700 clone but a huge upgrade to Remington there barrels tend to shoot very accurately and action is pretty smooth not perfect but smooth I have a b14 hunter and a b14r hard to beat and can use 700 triggers
I like Bergara and recently picked up a carbon crest in 7PRC.
My 308 bergara did the same thing at first, it took 60-100 rounds to settle down.
Now with nosler e-tip 150gr it consistently shoots 1“ groups or better.
