  1. I’ve seen this one before and there are a few others too…just goes to show you that the early film stars had the dance moves long before the Rocker’s, the disco’s and the hip hopper’s.

  2. A reminder for me to rewatch more musicals which I totally love. Too many to try & post who they all are for you, but I knew 95% of them (my age is showing). Some from 30's, 40's, 50's & of course some more current. What fun! And hats off to the creator of this video.

  3. Dancing was all part of it years ago — even if you were not especially good, dancing in film was all part of it. Everyone danced. 2 women who were considered actresses & not dancers but who were exceptionally good were Lana Turner & Linda Darnell. Then there's singer-actress Doris Day & Judy Garland. Of course the amazing Rita Hayworth. And let's not forget John Travolta from that quick clip of Saturday Night Fever. 2 people you would never imagine who were terrific were Dean Martin & Johnny Carson. A great fun one is Gene Kelly dancing w-the cartoon character Jerry mouse — Gene at his amazing best! If you want to see 1 1/2 hrs. of amazing dancing, see the film "That's Dancin' " 1985.

On another subject, the pink lipstick is sooo much better on you than the red. Firstly, pink always makes a woman look younger, no matter what age (red ages the face) & secondly, it is more fitting for your complexion.

  4. I found this list of movies used in the video in the notes for it. I certainly recognized many of the actors dancing and have seen a lot of the movies. I forgot what a great dancer Ann-Margret was!

List of movies in order used in the video:

  5. Couldn't possibly name the 70 or so movies shown here, but I will say there is a lot of Fred Astaire (obviously) and some incredible actors and dancers from the best years of Hollywood. I would note a lot from the original West Side Story.

  6. I love seeing how happy this video made you!! What a GEAT reaction video. Like a lot of other people, I need to say that this may my whole day. I am glad someone found the list of the movies featured so you can maybe go check them out. I was raised on old Hollywood film and musicals and many of the films included here are treasures.

  7. You could do those all day and I would be happy pappy! First of all, I love how you appreciate dancing! I so love you reactions to this. I'm 65 and have enjoyed dancing and watching it all my life. Believe it or not, I've only had tap dancing lessons in elementary school but have just loved to dance ever since. The disco era was the ultimate for me out of all of it from 50's dancing all the way to today's moves but I'll shake a leg anywhere! Got any "Rocky Top" handy? I can jig through that one no problem, lol! And yes, it always got me through housework too!

  8. The very first clip of Donna Reed starting the record is from the Christmas movie 'It's a wonderful life'. There are clips of Judy Garland, Ann Margaret, Gene Kelly, Fred Astair & Ginger Rogers, Danny Kaye and of course Kevin Bacon, from 'Footloose' and sooooooooooooooo many more! Check out the movie 'Singing in the rain'. Classic!

  9. Susie, the absolute glow and sheer joy in your face made me fall in love with you all over again❤️❤️
This one is a blast, but the best one of this type of mashup is probably the one that uses UPTOWN FUNK for the dance track. You won't be able to keep your seat!!🤩
