  1. One of the BEST build up songs ever. When this first came out I was in high school and didn't like it much. That is until one day I was sitting in the high school parking lot in my dads '74 LeSabre which had a great sound system. This came on and I cranked it up. Needless to say it has been one of my favs since. Just powerful in the way Collins builds it.

  2. I was never a fan but grew up on this guy's voice. Over the years I've tried to figure out who sang the most songs to be in radio rotation and I came to conclusion Phil Collins as a solo artist, the singer of Genesis, and his many duets with many other artists add up to more tracks that were consistently on the radio from about 1978-1993 and probably no one else can top having a few dozen radio hits like that even 30 years later

  3. Takes me back to being uninterested in pop music like this, but this track was still so compelling it drew me in, every time… one of the few Phil Colins songs I'll let play on my radio hahahah πŸ™‚

  4. We Genesis fans were excited when Phil got nominated for an Oscar for this solo effort. He left his tour overseas thinking he would perform at the show. But the producers had other ideas. The broadway actress Ann Reinking did an interpretive dance to a version of the song as Phil sat gobsmacked in the audience and we watched on TV one of the worst moments in Oscar history.
