  1. The other singer is the lovely Silja Sol, who has worked with Aurora a lot. In fact, I highly recommend you check out the Current performance of this song, which is just Aurora and Silja (also playing acoustic guitar). That version is one of Aurora's most reacted to videos, and for good reason. It's incredible.

  2. Aurora is really special. I love her voice and the way she expresses her emotions. The harmony between her and Silja was so beautiful.
You should also check out Eivør who is another Nordic siren. Her song "Falling Free" (Live at the Old Theater in Torshavn) is mesmerizing.

  3. Aurora always manages to couch very dark subjects in beautiful music. Check the lyrics. 🙂Right after you said, "Hope!", I thought, "Oh, not exactly!". The lyrics are
Are your dreams as dead as they seem?
Are your dreams as dead as they seem?
Don't you speak over my voice
I will return from the shadows
And I'll bleed on your bed, turn it red
like the ground outside your window.
    Love is wild.

There is another live version of this song that's just Aurora and Silja, and Silja plays guitar while singing. It's spectacular, and the audio is so great you can hear everything with absolute clarity. It's Live at The Current and it's very relaxed in a recording studio kind of setting.

  4. Very nice reaction 🤗

I absolutely agree with what you’re saying, I don’t know another artist that performs like she does, she’s so unique 😍

This song is so beautiful, but also very sad.

“‘It Happened Quiet’ and ‘Churchyard’ – which is about someone that is stronger… a grown up with a child, a teacher with a student – someone that takes advantage of their power and uses it in the wrong way. It’s inspired by domestic violence.” AURORA

“In my more delusional stories like ‘It Happened Quiet’ and ‘Churchyard’, the victim comes back to haunt the one that hurt them.” AURORA

Could you please react to Aurora with:

“A Potion For Love” live at VEVO (it’s important that you choose this performance)

This song has only been available as a B-track on the “Cure For Me” vinyl single that was released in July last year.
But 15 days ago she finally released it digitally, and at the same time she released this beautiful performance 😍👍

  5. I recommend you watch this other version of the same song privately if you want "Live At The Current", it is performed in a radio station studio.
It is just as good as this one and maybe even better, that performance is iconic in the Aurora fan base.

  6. I agree with many of the others. The live one at the Current is a better one to watch. Not that I don't like this one, but that one is just perfection. I always enjoy watching Aurora no matter where or what she's doing. She's truly special.

  7. Thank you for this reaction – this is a version I had not seen yet. I am more familiar with the Nidarosdomen one and the live at the Current version (which is still my favorite). It's always a treat to hear her perform her songs ever so differently.

  8. Aurora is a fantastic ARTIST….
That is why Silja (and that the gitarist) look so closely on Aurora…. (my teory). Aurora does often change things… also the tempo, so they have to follow her… espesially the "feeling songs"…

  9. A very erudite reaction. I hadn't seen this version before. This song is way beyond melancholy though, with its theme of violence in a relationship. In other versions (at Nidarosdomen and Live at The Current) the "quiet" is delivered in a mere whisper which is more atmospheric than in this version. Check them out privately for comparison.
