Love these easy flowing songs. The 70s was full of them. Just gives a " peaceful" feeling afterwards like the sun is shining, butterflies flying, laughing as children, etc.

The original 4 members, including Bernie Leadon, a strongly country-influenced former member of the Flying Burrito Bros. band ( among others), who was an excellent bluegrass-style banjo player. Take a listen to some ( if not all) of the tracks off their first album to hear how good he was. They lost some of their soul when he eventually left the group.

This is before the Eagles changed their format [sold out] and steered away from Country Rock to a more hard rock sound….which now the Classic Rock stations ignore….the snake bit, best comedy routine from you two yet.
They started out as a backing band for Linda Rondstat… with a definite country rock focus. After a few years they shifted to a more rock oriented musical unit, particularly with their last 2 records from the 70's…
The Eagles started out as a country rock band and always kept their roots as country. Glen Frye and Don Henley palyed for Linda Ronstadt in hr band. Thats where they met and started writting.
Lyin' Eyes and Best Of My Love are 2 more SOFT songs from them. Now, if you want a HARDER song from them, Life In The Fast Lane is one you should check out.

The Eagles started out as country rock, which was big in early 70's, but they transitioned to regular rock as the 70's progressed…especially after they had a few original members depart and were replaced by conventional rock performers like Joe Walsh.

This was early Eagles. There was some inter turmoil in the band to be a true rock band and they morphed into their later hits.
Now please do Desperado, early Eagles we’re more western than country to me
