  1. The Jada Pinkett joke actually made me LOL

I saw every almost every 60s – 70s band you can think of. The only 2 that I didn't get to see were Led Zeppelin and David Bowie. Bowie was my biggest regret.

  2. You should check out the version he did in Berlin, considering the song is talking about Berlin and the Wall. He wrote 3 albums in Berlin, known as his 'Berlin Trilogy'. It became a West Berlin and West German anthem. Not long before the end of the Cold War, he played an outdoor concer, close to the Berlin Wall. People started to gather, to listen, on the eastern side. When he performed this song, the crowss in both the West and the East, went wild! When the Berlin Wall came down, the German government publicly thanked Bowie for his contribution! They publicly acknowledged his greatness and again thanked him, after he died. He was a great man! I could give you endless recommendations for truly incredible tracks by Bowie but you'll get plenty of those, so instead I'd highly recommend watching his MTV interview, from the early 80s, with the head of MTV. It's a priceless piece of television history! 🙂

  3. Bowie possibly single handedly encouraged people to dream and think out of the box. The number of genres of music he invented or adapted is what he is famous for. He was a chameleon in music and appearance. Inventing new persona for his multiple changes of direction. Non fans won't even know his 1960s "Laughing Gnome" Song. 😂 I still can't believe how low key his death was. Don't forget the impact he had on music. Incalculable. And a genuine Gentleman.

  4. Too bad you didn't listen to the original studio version first… or maybe, it's good this way, so that WHEN you listen to the studio version, you can be even more amazed. (Full disclosure: I hit "pause" at the :51 sec mark, on account that it's a live version. Don't get me wrong, I love db and his live stuff is FIRE, but man, the original studio version of HEROES is the stuff of Legend ~

Love your channel / subscribed / keep 'em coming, Polo ~;^

  5. Sincere question out of pure curiosity, 🤔: As a fan of both you and David Robert Jones/Bowie, I've noticed you don't have a "Bowie reaction" Playlist. Is there a specific number of reactions to an artist that you need to do before you make one? I ask this because if one is made I'll be sharing it with my entire family who are all, (including myself), UTTERLY OBSESSED with him, 😆, and have been ever since the 70's. Plus, they will adore you as well! 😍 *For the record, I am NOT complaining. I'm just truly hoping that you aren't done with Mr. Jones.*🤞 I genuinely enjoy the ones out the most. The lowest amount of a specific artist that you've made Playlists for is 4. Is this one the 4th one? I only see 3 but I may be missing one.

  6. Listen to Wasted Country by Gail Ann Dorsey, his jadalike bassist. She is the real deal, a great songwriter, musician and I've yet to hear a bad word said about her. Apropos of nothing, listen to the studio album version of this song. Robert Fripp's wailing, howling, keening guitar sounds like nothing before and very little since.

  7. David Bowie is the soundtrack of my life, from Space Oddity to Blackstar and everything in between. Every few years, he would shed his skin, become someone totally new with a new sound that always seemed years beyond the current music scene. I cried when he passed away because it felt like I had lost a friend. I miss him. 😢
