[First Time Blind Play Through] Mass Effect | Mass Effect Legendary Edition | Ep. 1

Welcome to my first time experience in Mass Effect! This is a completely blind play through; I have NO idea what this game is about or what to expect! I’m so excited to share this adventure with you all. Hope you like this first episode 🙂

SUMMARY/NOTES: In this episode, we get to know our crew and ship and help a colony under attack on Eden Prime while searching for a Prothean beacon relic. We end up in front of the Citadel council with some alarming news about one of their Spectres, but will they listen?

There is some evident screen tearing in the beginning cut scenes & during some dialogue. Unfortunately this is a known issue, but I was assured that this is only present in the first chapter and will hopefully not be a problem for our future play throughs! I’ll keep investigating a fix for this and I deeply apologize for the hiccups.

  1. Oh yeah! Thanks you so much for choosing this outstanding trilogy 🥰
One of the best game series ever!
(no matter how many times I heard the main menu music of ME1, it always give me goosebump^^)

  2. This was a nice surprise. Was going to recommend that you play this, but wasn't sure if you had played this or the original trilogy at some point in the past. Always nice to see new people experience this excellent series. If you haven't already, I recommend you play Cyberpunk 2077 after you finish The Witcher 3, though at this point that is months, if not years away. You can decide whether to do it on a recording, but you should check out the primary codex entries and the secondary ones for that matter. They add A LOT of detail to the lore that they talk about in the conversations.

  3. I haven’t played ME1 in sooo long, I forget most of it! It’s probably been 15 years. I’m super excited to see how it plays today, and get to enjoy it for the first time with you.

  4. I am so onboard with this!! Can't wait to see your reaction to key moments in the game. Some say this game world is just as epic as Star Wars or Star Trek. It certainly has that potential. Have fun playing the game the way you want. How do you feel about combat based strategy tips? No spoilers obviously. I wouldn't dream of it. Mass Effect is one of those games that I would wish I could experience again for the first time – if that were possible. Even then, I've played this game full through at least 4 times.

  6. ended up in the last of us 1 for me, changed the director in the sequel and added things that didn't make sense

the game also shows that elie wanted to sacrifice herself for healing but when joel says he wants to separate and leave her with tommy she says a huge NO

I believe that Joel, for having more time in the apocalypse, must have already seen crazy things like these that in the end come to nothing

the game shows that joel was insensitive at the end but also shows that the vacancies did not have the slightest condition to create a vaccine (in today's world it is already difficult to imagine there)

  7. WOW , my favorite games keep coming on this channel 🥳🥳🥳
i hope you enjoy it, the game mechanics gets better and much easy in ME2 and ME3…
i played all the games in the trilogy started with ME2 went back to ME1 and then ME3…
and to get the best ending very difficult compare to the Witcher 3 …
    take you time…

  10. Game is definitely very verbose at the beginning.
You will probably pick up a couple of squad mates before leaving the Citadel again.

In combat to use squadmates powers you need to target an enemy with your crosshair first, then order them to perform the action. (I'm pretty sure it has to be line of sight also)
You only get one shot, then the power has to recharge. In the option you selected for squadmates to use all powers at will, so they might not be available all the time.

So you could damage the shield of one enemy, (the blue line over their health), and overload the weapon on a different enemy before returning to the fight.

Also there are shields and barriers – respectively blue and purple lines over the enemies (red) health bar.

Some powers only work on shields, some only on barrier, and some only on unshielded/barrierless opponents.
Unavailable powers for that target will be "oranged" out. Often you can coordinate powers to have a squadmate take down their shield which make it easier for you to finish off.

I'm sure you will get the hang of it, but I found it annoying to have to learn while playing by guesswork or luck.

I have heard overlays running in the background can cause graphics problems.

I'm sure you will enjoy this game.

  11. Welcome surprise, you're in for a treat with this one, ME being one of the best story driven franchises ever made in my opinion. The first game can be a little rough around the edges, especially in terms of combat, but in terms of story and world building it is fantastic. Also the combat does get significantly better in the next 2 games, albeit the RPG elements were watered down a bit.

  12. I bet many comments already told you that you should be either paragon or renegade. Pls don't. It's so fecking boring to know that a player chooses one answer to get some points. It also gets boring for you because you're not allowed to choose for your own. Just choose the dialogue options you want to.
