Hi Josh
Wanted to look at a video on the game to see if it's worth picking up! Tho I wish there was a discord tbh. I hope the devs have plans on adding updates 🤔
I’m playing it on the switch and think it’s super cute. I’m having a few issues today after logging on. My hair is a totally different color and for some reason my house doesn’t have the mirror on the wall in the second floor … also Tin isn’t offering me the option to buy anything anymore. I made some money to upgrade my sickle now I can’t. Help lol. I’m having fun otherwise.
nah i will wait…its so maty good games out. Thanks Josh
I have watched so many videos but i love your content. This game looks boring. it's cute but that's about it
Ok I just started a new save and all is good now. At least I know what to do now haha
I feel the same as u, it pretty much feel the same as the demo and I've been reading the reviews, the negative reviews are basically saying the same, that it feels unpolished and unfinished, the devs need to spend more time working on it and shouldn't have released it on the 12th. It does need more time in the oven baking.
I'm very excited for Mirthwood so I look forward to November when u cover Mirthwood!
In my opinion, the style is very cute but the gameplay seems rough. The fainting mechanic is poorly done, jumping doesn't seem high enough, the map is not very useful, there's not enough quest guidance, the overall quality seems low, etc etc. It doesn't seem ready to leave early access. I'm going to wait to see how it gets updated before I check it out again, but it definitely wasn't a positive first impression.
After watching 3 streams of this game, I found it VERY odd that there always happened to be a play tester or something in the chat lol (the one in Josh's chat left very early on). They only wanted to give hints about treasure chests specifically and seemed to ignore most negative feedback. I get that the game just came out so they were trying to hype it up or something, but it was just strange to see. It came across as the devs being aware that players would get frustrated playing it lol.
I love the game's idea, cute style, cooking and decorating. Anything else feels frustrating to me tho. The progress is SO slow and there is not much to do at the beginning.
It's not possible for me (playing on Xbox) to scroll text and there are sound bugs. If I didn't watch your or Min's video I wouldn't have known that there are other areas to explore. But the biggest frustration for me is the money making.
I thought this one could be one of my favourite games, but in this state this is sadly just not possible. I hope they are working on patches! That's the only way I would pick it up again!
So sad I ordered this and got it first day. I don’t think they have worked out the kinks. It feels very off and buggy. There is no clear explanation or rules of anything. You literally “fall asleep” and get transported all the way back to your home very quickly as well, making it frustrating to play. I played two whole days thinking it would get better. It didn’t.
And you where EXACTLY RIGHT sooooo disappointed 😢they should really be giving refunds cause it is a boring buggy mess soooo 😞 I’ll pick it back up in a while to see if they fixed anything
I am buying a steam deck
Me not having a steam deck means I was relying on this game as the best ones are on steam deck
Hi everyone and Hi Josh! Thank you for playing the game and I would like to tell everyone here that we are very sad for the first impressions on the game (I am one of the testers). This was so not intended and rest assured that issues mentioned in this comments section are being worked on. For those that play on console, the tutorial are missing because the version is behind and takes so long. For PC players, you found them. They are written in a personal way as internal dialogue of our character. Fatigue tutorial comes up when you pass out the first time. The game is trying to promote healthy sleep and we do find the fatigue system is upsetting people and this is being discussed internally very seriously. A PC patch early next week will have the reset bug fixed and a few others, plus some price adjustments to shop items. You saw how the dialogue is important: May gives info on the selling system, the little ghost teaches about soil health and the other NPC do have a touching personal story that gets opened up as you raise friendship. I watched a little of the stream but in this game, the dialogue is important and we recommend reading them fully and enjoy them as they tell stories and teach. There are some areas to explore early on and many many rewards to find while exploring. Yes it is slow paced and this not being something some like, that is ok. All I can say is that I hope this cozy community I enjoy understands the devs are a small team of 3 and incredibly passionate about their project. All we can ask is a bit of patience and faith that they are not going anywhere and will patch all that is needed. Tips: No worries about the heat going past the middle, you won't burn it. Plants in this game take time to grow and they have stages (magic lens will be your best friend). We have some guides with tons of spoilers on discord due to the tutorials missing on consoles for now. Hope this little summary helps someone. It's not trying to change minds if it's made, but being a tester, I experienced it all and it's very heartwarming, even though it is slow and will not be right for some.
