Can't go wrong going with a new motor even though it's more expensive, it should be reliable and is covered with a warranty which this day and age us worth it's weight in Gold

I would go with the complete used one. The man knows who you are now. And it will save you a lot of downtime
Thank you so much Tim for explaining that. I am one of the guys that questioned that a couple videos back. I did not think that seemed right for them to be asking for my social security number so I backed out of it immediately. I knew it wasn't you doing that. 👍🏼 I'll get money to you somehow without somebody else stealing it first. Love all of you and I still pray for you to get thru this. You do a very excellent job at staying positive and keeping your chin up.

Go with the new warrantied block from Detroit. make sure you document everything you add to it so there are no loop holes in their warranty and that any accessory added is within the operating specs for that engine. But you probably already know that. Hang in there, you will succeed, just going to take a little longer.
