  3. Good on her, however, no women have passed Parachute regiment training yet or even attempted it yet. P company is a week off for "Joe" as they don't get beasted in between events or have to do any lessons or field exercises. So as of yet, there are no female Paratroopers.

  4. Classic old cultural Marxist tricks. Communists, Marxists, leftists, globalist. Call them what you want. Same people for centuries and it started at the foot of the cross.

  5. My brother was in P company with my Bessie mate. Neither of them have beaten me in……..anything funnily enough. Oh, he did once jump onto the bar of the Black Prince on Union Street and kick a yank marine in the face after a dispute over the amount of gongs and ribbons the yank had on his chest by asking, which one did you get for shitting properly?

  6. Chris my Brother yes it's very different doing P company without the rest of the course at Depot, even getting to P company back in the day was a massive achievement especially staying injury free, P company is hard but only part of the course. Back in the day P company was week 13 then went to week 17 and is now week 20 because not enough pass rate at Depot back in the day, and with no Fan dance at the end of P company well what can I say. Respect to her passing but it's just not the same.

  7. I did p company 1977 and 21 SAS 1982 if I had failed p company I don't think I would have done it again no health and safety same with the SAS we're actually told they didn't care if we died on the SAS selection in them days it was all part of the course and was accepted by us

  8. Most infantry , that are men, come back from war , affected by what they are asked to do and see.
Why do you need women, that are nurturers of life and kin , to experience the same and imo could be worse off for their mental health, that we hear about 24/7

  9. P company is not what it used to be and is fast becoming an attendance course. The pass rate is above one half now, up from about a third in the late 90s. I'm sure she passed fair and square. However, the course is just not that hard anymore.

  10. with how much help? the military are absolutely desperate for these headlines to advertise diversity and equality. Reading Dean Stott's (SBS) book , he told of how the navy basically forced them to try pass a female recruit in marine training or the standards would be lowered……this is no doubt the same

  11. The fact that Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty of Child sex trafficking offences and yet none of her supposed customers have been brought to court is also deeply disturbing, don't you think?

  13. Warfare changes throughout the ages, as does the society that is called upon to fight. We are less dependent upon physical strength and old tactics (slings, bows and arrows, spears, swords, volley fire or trench warfare). Today as is seen out East, technology as opposed to mass infantry and tank attacks is more of a battlefield winner.

The British Army will never do a Falklands conflict again. During Gulf War 1 we just about were able to deploy a division. The army has reduced it personnel numbers (72’000 at last count) and as in the East most people do not want to be turned into MEAT and are heading to the borders.

During my time the issue of the day was young people having never worn shoes and so had to have a period of build up training to get them used to running in boots. I suspect the standard has been dropped irrespective of gender due to the PlayStation generation and a more indulged car driven society not used to arduous physical exercise.

Those who’ve served know you pass the basic standards and then fitness becomes a personal pride issue and comes down to individual motivation and personal goals.
