🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

  1. @ChristopherOdd I don't know if you know this, but M brings up your map, which you can use to check that you've explored everything. Not that you've missed anything yet, but its good to double check with the Map.

  2. Steeped deep within the fool vapors of the Christ-God, the would-be tyrant brings ignoble malady upon his meagre war band. Would that he simply looked up from his fetid bible and borne the wax from his gaze, he might have seen the value of the alchemists and warded off the needless affliction!

But such is not the way of the Christ-God. The Christ-God demands purity from his followers! Purity of these old sins known as Healing Potions. And so Sir Kay was bled.

  3. 1:20:41 "I want to always make sure we have spots for these people right?" Not necessarily. If you don't have room Knights will go into the Aspirant Heroes area here (it can hold unlimited # of knights as far as I'm aware). If you want to bring them into your party you will need to expand the Round Table so you'll have room (or get rid of existing heroes to make room, although this isn't a huge concern until later when you cannot expand any further and get the awesome Morality unlocked heroes).
TLDR: don't worry about having space for them, they'll wait for you as Aspirant Heroes and you can unlock space at your leisure.

  4. Ya know, watching this concurrently with Daemonhunters makes me realize just how much Games Workshop borrowed from other sources. So in Arthurian lore, you have Agravain (the GK Commander that got clapped), Palamedes (the apothecary from the first mission), and now you have Ector (Ectar, the advisor). It's like you're playing the same game only 39 thousand years apart!

  5. Most definately lean into tyrant and old ways. You can get black & red knight along with guinevere, lady morgana. Best champion and defender. Best arcanist (mage) and sniper (sage support). You can balance morality between christian and okd faith so Dindraine doesnt lose too much loyalty. Max loyalty drain from religion is -10 so Dindraine wont be max but still high.

  6. Overwatch is not as good as in XCom. Best defence is great offense. Dont move Dindraine often, she will get skill later to get more dmg iif sge doesnt move before shot. Only move her to get away. Modred shoukd be your tank/debuffer. Dont improve his dmg skills. Ihe wont ever deal high dmg. Kai is your dmg dealer for now.

  7. Mr. Odd, please use healing potions more often, as they are not expensive and can save you from sending knights to the hospital. Poor Sir Kay is now siting in Camelot instead of cleaving through the enemy. 😉

  8. Good one but last fight was painful to watch… not using dark essence bombs, not using potions so knight lose vitality, knock back enemy away from AoE… take your time next time instead of hodge podge

  9. In case you have not realised yet, i hear you sometimes say, you don't know if this or that monster can reach you. If you mouse over the enemies you can see exactly how far they can move, and how far they can move and still attack, just like you can with your own characters, the lines are just a different colour. Also you can give Balin his title of commander of the bridge by accessing the round table at Camelot, i think you forgot that there are options within that tab.

  10. Watched your most recent Gloomhaven video (from 7 months ago) and loved it. Were you planning on continuing with it at any point? Or did you stream it and I missed it?! By the Gods…!

  11. Nice one! Really enjoying this series! 🙂

A little tip since there is no sorting function for items: I felt it paid off to just sell everything you dont use/feel is not useful – this way at least you experience less visual clutter (and have a bit extra money to buy some better weapons and armor which is very important if you don't get good drops!)

  12. "I love math!" So do I, I just never have the patience to do the math that you do. HOWEVER, it clearly works, so I will work on my patience and turn-based strategy math 😀 keep up the fantastic work!

PS I am loving the fact you're playing this and Chaos Gate at the same time: two videos a day!!! WOOHOO

  13. So you are Darkest Dungeon fan!! Love the reference, trinkets and baubles!
I just discovered this game and your channel, But I can't help but keep thinking How similar this game is to darkest dungeon, Just much much more in depth.

  14. I found the voice acting, music and the way how certain skill icons look, to be very familiar. Like, from a game called the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Turns out, I just discovered, that they are from the same developer, Neocore Games. xD

  15. Strange.. i just did this mission in my game but all the lost had 18hp and the crossbows had 14… not 15 and 12. Im certainly not clearing the maps as easy as Mr. Odd here… loving the playthough so far.. keep it up!

  16. ok it looks like either they nerfed the game massively or the roguelite mode is not using the highest difficulty you can choose in classic. i got destroyed so hard in this mission even with all the strategies i developed to not get hit at all 😀
really curious how this is going to go moving forward.
