‘Finland school shooter’ is arrested by police after deadly rampage

A child has shot dead a fellow 12-year-old student and seriously wounded two others in a classroom gun rampage in Finland, police have announced. Police initially said that three minors were injured in the attack and taken to hospital, but later announced that one had died. The other two remain in a serious condition. Heavily armed police cordoned off the Viertola lower secondary school, with around 800 students, in the city of Vantaa – just outside the capital of Helsinki – after receiving a call about a shooting incident at 9.08am local time.

  3. Blame right wing government on this!! Government has been lowering social benefits all the time, there aren't jobs available & living expenses are really high in Finland!! People are struggling to survive + they are forced to do slave labor to get minimal social benefits!

  4. there are approximately 1% of people who are born as psychopaths. this child probably was one of them. I worry that this is something that can't be stopped. the temptation is too big for these individuals.

  5. He’s been released already! Ok, the Social Services took over and the killer is in their custody. In Finland no one under 15 can be arrested or judged in court. They can be accounted for the damages they’ve caused and it builds up interest on the sum every day. He/she/it fckd up his/her/its life before it even started, really. But a 12 year old should know that people get killed if they are killed.

  6. I am quiet sure that Bullying is the motive behind it. Bullying is a serious matter in schools. Usually kids are very sensitive, they get deeply hurt especially if no one notice them or care what they feel. Unfortunately some choose to suicide other chose to shoot.
