Finishing strong vs. Raiders makes no difference for Broncos next season

Sean Payton told the media this week it’s important for this Broncos team to finish the 2023 campaign strong, which DMac says has absolutely no meaning for next season. Plus, Garett Bolles protects the QB on AND off the field? And several players earn Pro Bowl nods.

  1. Denver doesn't do pass protection. They haven't for years. It makes me cry to see San Francisco send 9 to the pro bowl including an offensive tackle, while we are fielding a right tackle that the 49ers cut because his pass protection is so bad.

  2. I think the win is important to finally have a winning season and for the players who are on the bubble with the team, they want to have good film on them if they have to try and land a job with another team. If they lose it helps with the team with the draft.

  3. I have a bunch of boomer relatives who hoard books too. I think it’s something with that generation. I want to ask them how many of those books they’ve even read once, let alone twice. Why you need all them damn books? You running a library? You know there’s a thing called “eBay”

  4. Just saw a chart there are 2 punt returns per game on average… one per team. Even less kick off returns. So Broncos have an all-star for one play per game, on average. Would love to see how many times Mimms caught a punt inside the 10 y….

  5. You won’t find any player that shows up to lose a game. You have to be so detached from the emotions of the game to make such an abstract analysis of wins and losses. Winning is a habit.

  6. Come on, man! Enough with the meaningless game theory. This isn't the last game of this season, it's the second game of next season. Is this a culture? The culture should be relentless, confident, even cocky. The draft order matters very little compared to the posture. Get a guy two spots early who comes to a team that plays meaningless games?
