In this series we are setting out to create the Imperium Of Man and become the emperor of the universe can we survive or will our many foes stop us from taking over the galaxy.

  1. I never start using cores on my worlds until I can handle those Heggie idiots and their AI inspections. I think you get about 30 months free time until they start sticking their noses into your business. They are always the first ones I wipe out, and I do it with great pleasure! My favorite method is invading their world, then once I win I turn the colony over to the independent faction.

  2. The salvage fields do suck. Most of the time.

Sometimes, you'll find additional blueprints, or even AI cores, in the salvage fields. Usually after big battles with remnant fleets or the like. But, occasionally, in those random ones, too.

Similar to all the salvageable ships. Tons of "free loot" or at least minimal cost in supplies from puttering back and forth. That said, well, you only have so much cargo space and it can get tedious eeking out every little bit.

  3. I'd recommend downloading the arkship mod as it acts as a mobile storage and production unit. It can be expensive to run costing up to 200k per month to operate at max capacity (storage bay, supply production, and fuel production. ) also if you see a derelict ship you might want, grab it then and there even if you don't want to use it just yet as, in my experience at least, derelict ships will DeShawn if you leave the Mao they are on. And yes that even includes in deep space where you are using fuel.
