Found a bug/exploit whether you report or do a video on it idc but next time you use your freighter to warp into a pirate owned system go to the galactic trade terminal and look for technology it should be around 99.7 cheaper. Then open the technology and sell it to get nanites

There's a glitch put back into the game with the last update where you can exchange your ship and then go back and reclaim your ship for free. You can do this till your slots are full and then just go through and scrap them. Rinse and repeat.

You can have a settlement in pirate systems. Spent hours getting it on a paradise planet, but Tortuga was in fact eventually generated.

I’ve been using a keyboard macro to offer to Chronus, since it’s so tedious otherwise. Kind of removes the fun of cooking stuff. Nice series so far, like the Banana Hammock! Too bad that alien MT was a C, it’s very unlikely to be a better class elsewhere in that system, the way the cabinets work. Nice exotic mosquito too, although I don’t like how those wings work personally. I’d hire him as a wingman though! My first squadron buddy in the expedition was a squid ship. And hey, beignets are just that awesome!

I just started playing and your series is so helpful, so definitely enjoying it. I just made it to the anomaly and the game keeps prompting me to talk to Helios but he just keeps saying he’s too tired and Ares just looks at me funny. I can’t seem to find a solution online, can anyone help me?

literally as you described the "first wave exotic ship" idea on space stations i found 2 exotics in my space station and sure enough, it spawns one in the first wave every time LOL that's such a crazy coincidence
