  1. Ah yes, I went full loot goblin on my playthrough too and by mid game I was so busted that I basically had like 50 ion cannon frigates from assorted races or something dumb like that, they were shooting enough ions that even fighters didn't stand a chance. I stopped capping eventually as I hit the hard limit on controlled ships

The AI is kind of dumb (also in the original) so you need to herd them manually quite a few times to not collide with each other or crash into rocks especially in one of the missions.

  2. Next mission has the words that still hit all the feels even these many years later. Three words that convey utter despair and devastation and disbelief.
Though to be honest I think cataclysm (fucking emergence now fuck blizard), is the best game in the series.

  3. I'm so glad you took a chance on Homeworld. It is my favourite game of all time. And I cannot wait for homeworld 3. I hope you enjoy the narrative as much as I did, and the complexity of an RTS set in a fully 3D environment.

  4. I thought if you hold Alt and drag click you can focus on a group, also holding Ctrl and drag clicking on enemy's, targets that group, also also double clicking on units zoom to them so that with space bar means you can move around the map quickly… thinking about it this could all be for HW2 its been so long since played. Love your content btw, I have bought so many games because of you!.

  5. 2nd time i played the original game long long ago, I went full Borg.
Tried to capture everything that wasn't nailed down.
Everything frigate class and above anyway.
    Did pretty good.
Never could capture the first carrier and a few assault frigates may not have made it but otherwise…
At the end of one stage (and you know which one if you've played the game) I had so many ion cannon frigates, I could put them in wall formation and they would react like a shoal of fish.
Glorious except I couldn't advance to the next level with all of them.
    It would crash the game.
They would line up for hyperspace and extend out beyond the invisible edge of the gaming field.

  6. Very glad to see someone playing some HW, as someone that was deeply in love with this game when it came out I was losing it but you'll get there. I deeply suggest checking out all the key bindings and keeping in mind that most bound actions can be dragged to to use across multiple units otherwise no tips and much respect for wanting to figure it out yourself.

  7. homeworldd remastered is a good game, though not for me… i couldn't get used to the 3D controls properly and whole function of keeping units between mission didn't work out for me. i ended up in a negative feedback loop. i had few units, so i was too weak, so i got overwhelmed by enemies, so i lost even more units…
by now i know roughly what to do and the timings for enemy waves and could probably give it another try but i think i'll stay away for longer.

  8. Taiidan: Do you think you can stop us? Let us do battle.
Kushan: Says you and who's space fleet
    Taiidan: Ours, obviously
    Entire fleet has been stolen
    Taiidan: Son of a-
    Glorious ion cannon firing sounds

  9. I remember wanting this game so badly when I was a kid. I didnt have money to buy it, and honestly, my computer was pretty terrible so i probably wouldnt have been able to play it anyway. I remember my friend telling me he had the game and I could borrow it!, alas, it was on a…floppy disk. Something was up. I booted up the game, and as it turns out, it was a text based game also called Homeworld. I was crushed
