  1. Read 10 pages of The Spite House that i just downloaded to my Kobo and then I saw this video pop up. So glad you liked it! Phew! ๐Ÿ˜… Next will be Episode Thirteen for sure ๐Ÿ‘Œ Thank you for yet another great list.

  2. Not sure how long been watching your channel (around the time the world started to shutdown) but just wanted to say I appreciate you do this.
When it comes to horror, dark fantasy, or whatever people choose to call it I haven't had the best of luck finding new voices that fit my likes but you help create a mental btb (books to buy) list of authors and books to try when I find them cheap.
Unfortunately many of the authors I found in the 90's have passed or have had to move on to other pursuits. So reread a bunch. That is why started to look at BookTube in the first place.

  3. I don't have any of those books yet, so I added notes to the excel list. Episode 13 sounds interesting, and Wasps in the Ice Cream. I'll see if the library has bought them now.

The only 2023 release I've read is Hell Bent (Bardugo). Quite enjoyed it; I read it right after I read Ninth House. Not so sure I like where it's going at the end though. Felt like a tropey set-up (a dark Buffy x Scooby gang mix). When the third book comes out next year, I'll read it because there was so much I liked about the first two, I'll probably still enjoy it even if it goes strongly tropey.

  4. Haunted house stories creep me out. The setting alone disturbs me. I'm not sure why but if the novel has anything unsettling, my imagination magnifies it. So you have given me an opportunity to lose some sleep. Grrr…

  5. A question that is more like a challenge. Hehe. I'm trying to find a horror book with a weird and creepy vibe. Not talking about weird and creepy character, but the style and the story itself is weird. Also,… no torture porn. ๐Ÿ™‚ any good one comes to mind? Thanks.
