Retiring this plane is a mistake.
It's not just a model this is the brand icon. It's like McDonald's discontinuing the Big Mac.
It should've been redesigned to be more efficient, and continued indefinitely. Maybe scale down production.
I predict it will one day return.

I flew 747's To and From NY to Frankfurt Germany for over 20 years. I am literally Sobbing, over the end of this era, of the Aircraft, which kept me Safe, and delivered me to my Family, back and forth via Lufthansa mostly. Farewell 747 and Thank You for the Memories……….Godspeed to Boeing…………………….
