I wouldn’t call this “wild” at all, I’d call it terrible clock management.
As a level headed, not Bears fan, nor Lions fan, I blame the qb. Horraful team management. It was not on the coach. The guy basically pooped the bed. I am sure the call was for a quick play, not, take all the time in the world and then send that ball forward 30 yards. All of you blaming the coach are not really paying attention.

This was all on the rookie QB. QB mistaken the play clock to the game clock. Lost track of time. You can see the coach and the entire sideline signaling to hurry. Instead of putting his QB under the bus, he took the blame and became the scapegoat

I’d say that was 60% on the coach and 40% on Caleb. He took waaay too long getting everyone set. Eberflus should’ve recognized that and stepped in by taking the timeout.
