Follow up with the states Departmentof Justice. They are their superiors. Failure to comply with state law and/or policy will result in sanctions to that department.
I like how he audits. They tell a bunch of lies, you tell a bunch of truths calmly and knowledgeable. I really hope these audits make a change for our nation. I am not saying defund anything, I argue that we as a nation need to to take a serious look at ourselves and our role in the world.
I understand why your doing this. You don't want everyone to loose there rights. Can I ask you a question? We put officers in the worst situations this country has you cannot deny that. Now when they ask you to id. Or they just simply ask what your doing and ask your name are you egging it on. It's not the law obviously but there safety is always a concern. They deserve to go home every night so do you at least understand that they just ask you questions that you don't have to comply with but if your doing this for the greater good keep in mind that there isn't anything wrong with them asking and trying to see what your doing when your by there vehicles and all the other situation you get into with them. They have a lot to deal with that's all. There have been a lot of bad situations throughout time but there not perfect. Clearly there first priority is everyone's safety including there own. Why don't you do what you do but if they ask for I'd give it to them. Explain the legal thing your trying to do. If they don't allow it at that time then move forward with fighting for our rights. I'm with you on our rights. I sincerely think that if you went everywhere you go and give them the respect and let them no your name and that your a journalist and see what they do before you put them online on blast. I'm not a cop and not affiliated with them family and what not. I do respect the hell out of them and you are going to these facilities and parking lots and specifically not answering any simple questions that the law or not would throw up red flags for anyone let alone with police officers. To make it fair. They should be asking you questions weather look at what your doing. That is there job. Give them a fair shot. You don't have to tell them the exact truth which is I'm here to make you uncomfortable using what laws I can to do so so you are uncomfortable to specifically get you to do something that isn't lawful so I can embarrass you on the internet. We get both sides. I'm guessing if you simply say your name yes they will run your name there safety is a concern and say your a journalist and let that play out. I bet you wouldn't have content to share online that your profiting from because you don't answer simple questions because they wouldn't react that way. Maybe I'm wrong but you should try it. Otherwise they they can just make it a law to id and answering questions is a law because there safety matters. I want this country to stay amazing. Yes we need our rights so I appreciate you. But you use the same tactics just for the purpose to make them uncomfortable and what's the worse they have done. Cuff you and put you in a cell for a few hours because they are unsure of your actions. You are doing everything you can to make them uncomfortable when there job is uncomfortable enough. Please don't put me on blast for asking you these questions. I'm just truly curious if you made each situation that you purposely put yourself into would turn out of you were just honest letting them no your not a threat. No matter what you say you can't blame them they have to be on full alert because anyone can be a threat. Give them a fair shake and my opinion they will treat you fine by just giving your name or id and explaining your a journalist collecting content nothing more and that isn't much. Look at it like a challenge. I'm no one. Both appreciate you and respect what they do. That's all. Just a thought.
