Figure Painting Tutorial 1/35 scale – US Paratroopers Alpine Minatures

In my first 4k resolution figure painting video I show how to paint 101st Airborne Infantry by Alpine Miniatures in 1:35th scale. Part of this miniature painting tutorial are pre colouring with an airbrush, painting uniforms, leather parts like boots and details like harness, canteen cups and the screaming eagles patch. Of course painting skin tones is a topic too, as is weathering and applying it to a vignette. The M1 Garand and the M1 Carbine were finished using oil paints over acrylic paints and by dry brushing using metallic paints.
I hope this step by step guide is helpfull for one or two of you and I can show some techniques for beginners and veterans. Please let me know what you think about it. I would love to read your feedback and cronstuctive criticism. And if you liked what you saw, please consider supporting me by subscribing.

  1. Thank you for showing me how to paint the US airborne figures that was very informative and I liked the way you told us every step in detail. I'm looking forward to trying it out on my figures. Thanks again.

  2. Hi, got another question for you if you don't mind. What size brushes and brand are you using in the video? Many thanks in advance. P.S. The more I watch your videos the more I learn to appreciate your skill, I hope I can get results like yours one day ! Oh one more thing, do you varnish between acrylic to oil paints and steel it al, in at the end ?

  3. Congrats. Very good paint work. Diorama 5 stars 👌🏾. I like the “sad moment” when you must dirty the boots (I feel the same when I dirty the figure). We spend a lot of hours painting And then we dirty every thing. Congrats one more time 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾

  4. Very good watching and learning experience. Nice pace of narration and good music, and excellent videoing. You are a brave man painting the eyes last… hope to see more 1/35 figures from you. Maybe you could try some Tamiya, Master Box or Miniart figures which lack the definition of resin and are more challenging to see how your technique works, which I am confident it does… ah, just saw your Dragon German paratroopers 😊
