  1. I dont want to sound like im complaining because im nowhere close to decent skill level but i think clives animations rly blend together when hes swinging the sword, his phoenix shift is insane mixup (hate the powercrush option) and his damage? Its not even hard to get, dudes easy to play .. idk man people downplay him hard

  2. Namco probably released Clive in a deliberately broken state to draw in Final Fantasy fans who just want to play the game casually and mash buttons. Then when these fans leave the game again in 2-3 months, it will be just in time for Season 2 and the new balance adjustments, at which Clive will get toned down along with all the other S tiers who needed nerfs anyway.

It's basically a win-win for Namco. They get to enjoy the revenue of new casuals flocking to the game, and then they get to satisfy the old heads with a balance patch once those casuals peace out.

  3. Love your honest assessment. Nothing irks me more than tapping into one of these big creators' videos and watching them be neutral and say things everyone knows to avoid upsetting the tekken d-riders.

if you explain to someone who's never played fighting games before what + frames are, even they would tell you that the fact this character can spam a running move from halfway across the screen with homing like tracking to chip away at your health and get a free 50/50 is a joke. Safe heat engagers and all his attacks connect from full screen. I've never seen a character so easy to play in my life, and it's no coincidence it's the DLC one. He's this accessible so people don't feel like they wasted their money on a character that is difficult to play and doesn't give them free wins and so the final fantasy fans who've never played tekken can easily win with him after learning 1 combo and his 10 frame. Just stand at 4 distance and spam random attacks. It works – you get a heat engager, full combo, or 50/50. It doesn't; you can just try again. Everything is safe, and no one can punish from the distance of his attacks. It's just sad what this series has come to.

  4. I can’t in good conscience call shaheen’s guard break unseeable. Not when even ppl in my ranks reacting to it
They do gotta nerf that f2,3. That shit is silly

I also don’t think your sub really meant to say Lee is top 3. Pretty sure he just salty. We all say crazy stuff when we’re salty lol

  5. Hilarious video man
I believe Clive's 2 option from his dash stance is hit confirmable so technically safe too
When he's +6 doing his stance you can SSR all his options except that broken ass slide that on CH gives 1+2 free
Oh and the two homing moves he has out of the stance also beat steppers, his stance 1+2 should be -15 or something because that's way too easy to throw out
Stupid thing is shit like his wr2 that gives him +14 and then you're stuck in the mix-up
Devs gotta nerf all his BS because I honestly think he's cool if they'd make him more centered around defense (his overall punishment, 3+4 low parry, CH b1, etc)

  7. Thank you for your no nonsense explanations and reviews on these characters. Playing against Clive right now my brain can’t keep up with the processing speed. I’m in the orange ranks and I just feel like I’m getting out mashed lol. Nevermind King, Hwoarang, Paul…etc

  8. Honestly, I’ve just been side walking literally everything and hoping to the tekken gods he whiffs. I decided I’d rather get clipped while side walking then repeatedly eating 50/50s.

It’s just not fun and at least if I do side walk, that’s the round

  9. to all the people complaining about the game's direction now, a year into the game's release, i am not sorry for you. youve been hating on this game and subjecting yourself to it all the same. can't under why youd even follow tekken at this point. move on. wait for another game.

  11. We were lied to yet again from Harada and Murray. I remember them saying season 1 would not have quest chars and lookie here. I dont enjoy Clive at all ive never even heard of the dude tbh. Ive labbed him for probly 30 hours at this point, he does have counter play but that F1+2 really sucks to fight against. I have managed to find ways to inturpt the stance but F1+2 and running 2 alone makes him busted imo. And ive faced a 1000 of them and its not fun 😂😂 I refuse to play him. But looking forward to the balnce patch we need nerfs and leave Dvj alone 😂

  12. You missed the mark on this one. Clive isn't gonna win anything other than a free meal at the old folks buffet table with how slow his mids are. Have you played tekken 8 before? Keeping pressure and frames is the most important part of the game, doesn't matter that he has range, tracking, and 50/50s, his lack of fast mids will make him a C tier character.
