I don't know of anyone who could have handled this interview with as much empathy and sensitivity as David did. Thank you for taking your guests to a place of vulnerability where no one else can.
I started to love you from joyous celebration b4 i even know ur voice as a backing vocalist and i can't even tell you why But after this story i love you more and our story is almost the same
Oh sis Brenda! What a powerful story you've shared! I'm in absolute awe of your journey.
I can't wrap my head around the fact that your incredible voice – the very same one I cannot get over – was once a source of insecurity for you. The way you sound is what drew me in to you. It's incredible how something that once brought you doubt can be an amazing symphony to many. I'm sorry for all the pain and struggles you had to endure growing up. My heart goes to you. Uxolo. May you continue finding comfort and healing. Ngxesi sisi. I always knew there was something extraordinary about you beyond your music but hearing your story has put everything into perspective. Your resilience, your strength and your authenticity have taken my admiration to a whole new level. From your days with Joyous Celebration to your solo work, I've been hooked. Now, it's not just your voice that has me devoted, your STORY has sealed my devotion. Thank you for sharing your gift, struggles and triumphs with us. You're an inspiration, sis Brenda!
And Bra Dave, amazing work! This is an interview we never knew we needed to have, a story we never knew we needed to hear. You handled it with such sensitivity and care. Big ups to you.
I met sis Brenda at a Women’s conference in 2022 (she’s warm and friendly) and watched her singing beautifully with Lizz Wright at the Joy of Jazz. What an amazing soul ❤ God will restore all you have lost in Jesus Name sisi ❤️
What a very sad interview 😢 but very inspiring as well. I pray that she may heal from all her past pains and trauma. May she find peace and be continually blessed because she's been through enough in this life, she deserves peace and joy now ❤
