Ok ok, it happened. I bumped the sawmill shed with the log loader trailer. I can tell ya one thing though, these earmuffs on my hard hat sure work good as I could barely tell what was happening until I looked up and found a nice treat. Iβm back at the sawmill today taking some nice 9 foot red pine logs and turning them into the next pieces of building material for a project Iβll be introducing to everyone before long. Sometimes half the battle is getting the logs loaded up onto my Woodland Mills HM130max and off again. Not so anymore with my Wallenstein LXT95 Log Loader Trailer here to lend a helping hand. Iβm loading and unloading logs today (sometimes two at a time) with this log loader trailer directly onto my sawmill. This take some steady hands in order to ensure nothing getβs broken (I may have spoken too soon). Tune in today to see what this sawing process is all about and check out my sawmill setup with everything from a power up/down sawhead to two green lasers to help guide my cuts. No matter what happens, itβs always a good day in the woods. Here we go!

I hit my propane tank with the tractor loader! Doh!
Hi Sandy thanks to you I've had an HM126 on the extended trailer for about 8 months now and it is a fab bit of kit
Spent last week milling 6×1 floorboards out of a 70ft 28" spruce and banging my leg on the jack handle π€£ so at least your not alone in that pain
Here in Wales uk we don't get the snow you get but the rain we get makes up for itπ€£luckily I have an enclosed barn big enough to mill in during the winter
Thanks for sending me down the woodland mills lane its so much fun π
You need a little more D3 in your diet, it will not make everything better, but may help with the winter blues.
Our winters are not anything like the kind of winter you guys have, but I always feel better after I get outside and work a little, Glad it worked for you too.
First sunny day just go out and walk or ride your trails. Look at all the beauty around you and recharge. Works for me.π
Your comments on the weather hit home! I'm from Minnesota, and today is the first day that hit 40 degrees in a long time! The snow is still too deep to get out into the woods, and my sawmill is still buried, so I try to keep busy doing little jobs around the place. Things should start looking up come mid-April.
Howdy Sandy- if it gets too bad up there just come on down and weβll feed you some fried catfish, cornbread and sweet tea. That one camera angle was just a little close to my nose lol. Take care and have a great weekend. God bless
Sandy I miss understood you I thought you hit your shed with a πͺ΅ or tractor you meant you were going to be cutting some lumber πͺ΅ β€ππ
good video and job. i have mine hooked to a dust collector and it still plugs up. i bent the wires and that helped some i may cut them out. take care, be safe and well.
I live in Montana- I certainly understand youβre winter challenges. Itβs snowing here again today.
Easy fix to plugged chute, remove that grill!
Thanks Sandy. For Me it's The Mud and Water runoff to deal with .
Mike M.
"Let me know if you encountered this down in the comments" …. nope, comments seem to be dust free π
Iβm fighting back the winter blues from Florida. Highly recommended!! π»
any reason for no walls or windbreak, burn barrel or campstove to brew mud while playing with your toys?
Can't wait to see what you're building with these logs. Stay warm, buddy…………… Hey, read a good book! Hahahahaha…………..
You need some princess auto traffic cones to put over the leveling jacks to save your shins a beating.
Sandy, thank you for the info on the updated measure indicator- the wide pointer was source of frustration lining up "accurate" measurements especially with different sawyers- my wife is shorter than I
Ouch that hurts the knee
Here in Southern Ontario the snow is all gone so it shouldn't be much longer for Central Ontario.
March is mill month for me here in Newfoundland Sandy. I use ski doo to haul lumber to highway . I don't have any shed so ya lots of shoveling.
Can you please link the install of your laser video. Thank you
Hang in there, spring is not far away!! Love watching the process.
I am so done with winter and keep saying Iβm not gonna plow our road one more time. Guess what? We got another 8 inches. Guess what I was doing? Yep plowing the road again so we can sympathize with you, us folks here in North Idaho.
I was born and raised in Michigan and lived there and in Wisconsin through more than 33 of these types of winters. One February morning, the wind chill off Lake Michigan was 65-70 degrees below Fahrenheit.
I look at people like him and think that it would be easy enough to pack up and head about 1000 miles to the south and discover a "whole new world", as it were.
Crazy how some people will complain as opposed to actually doing something to alleviate the discomfort. Crazier yet how I used to be that type of person but no longer.
As Dad always said "lets not talk about it, lets do it".
looks like you don't need a log deck anymore
I guess winter is not my favorite also but I do like the changing seasons there's something good and bad in them all and I'm glad no one can change it because we would really be in trouble then haha nice video Sandy
I still prefer snow to tornados
We are getting our sawmill next week!!this will be a whole new adventure!
Hey Sandy ! Catfish here ! Getting back to your roots ! Been splitting , gathering , fixing . The sawmill calls , you must answer ! Nice video !
Hi Sandy. I noticed that you cut two sides on at least one log. Is that a corner log? I may have the same blower as you. I bought a Huskvarna 150 BT a few weeks ago along with their 25-db. ear protection. Have good days!
Winter is over. Spring is here. π
Spring is coming soon lol may not look it up your way though π© best thing i ever did was build a sawmill shelter.
Take care nice job out there
You are getting a lot more proficient with the hoist system on your trailer. Definitely reducing the number of times you have to touch/move/transfer a log from felling to saw mill.
I hear ya. This winter has been especially long. Seems like I was plowing every other day and gladly welcome spring! Like your videos so much I've watched every one. I'd say I'm your biggest fan but that's creepy and sounds like Misery. π³ Take care Sandy! ππ
I enjoy your videos. Spring will be there soon. Be safe π
I could brag about my current weather but come summer time I will be looking to the north. Phoenix GETS HOT. Not really cold, but the heat is brutal, some times exceeding 46 C !!!!
Great tips, I always pick up some valuable information from my journey. Some simple tips can save time and needles repairs and expense.
I watched a lot of your tooth settings videos but it never clearly shows where the pressure specifically interacts with the tooth. Main question is the set screw/plunger does it contact the middle of the tooth near the top harden portion or pressure applied at the gullet against the anvil?
Researched this along with the manual from woodland mills but I am still a bit confused.
I did my first setting and sharpening and the blade performed great but I donβt want to sharpen more of my blades until I know for sure.
Really enjoy your channel.
Your setup keeps evolving. Pretty cool to see.
Thank you Sandy you always chase away my blues, I can't get out like I want to but as long as you are cutting or building or just doing something I am happy, keep well Sandy and keep on keeping on.
Hi Sandy, I was just wondering how your house is heated and have you seen the masonry heaters. I don't think you can beat them for efficiency. see what you think π€
How come you do not have a notification bell on your site??
I have no shelter . Usually finish around Christmas time and start back up in march or April depending on the snow amount .
