  1. Nice that he enjoyed his time on the Tornado F3, some pilots didn't after flying F-18s or F-16s. Once the bugs were worked out and the Link-16 was added it became a capable plane, so it ought to have been fun to fly. I do feel for the pilots who had to fly the F2 though, that was delivered in a lamentable state, some without any radar and some even with radar warning receivers and IFF that didn't work.

  2. Always new stuff to learn! It didn't occur to me that scripted DACT or BFM would be less realistic and helpful than randomly bouncing people or just mixing it up like he did with the Dutch. But that makes a lot of sense as a big part of any combat is surprise. Great interview!
